Hi :)

Maybe i should change mine nick toi "Thailand RXZ Boy"..... nobody here from Thailand..?? So many RXZ out there in Bangkok.... but all old ones like mine.

I wish to repeat my question from before - about the fiber stuff in the silencer. When i got my new exhaust pipe, there is no fiber in the silencer, but i can buy it extra. What is it for? Is it more quiet? Or have more (or less?) power with that stuff in there? I can not find answer on Google......

About the guy with the piston jam, if you get new piston, for the first ~500 kilometers always put some 2T oil in the tank, like 100 ml every time you fill petrol. Specially if your RXZ has the YCLS system, it get very little oil and the new piston can jam easy. Don't rev engine higher than 7.000-8.000 for longer time (short time is ok). I did so when i got mine new piston and have no problem, now 5.000 kilometer on it already and running very good, high compression :)

What do you guys use for petrol, i.e. 91 or 95? I always used 91 but today i filled 95 just to see maybe have more power.

Someone mentioned many of my mods are illegal in Singapore - yeah, chewing gum is illegal in Singapore too :) Here it is also "illegal" to have blue indicators but usually the police never complain, as long as you wear a helmet and don't drive on the right-most lane of the road, it will cost 100 Baht bribe or 400 Baht ticket if you do :) Also here motorbikes are not allowed to use the expressway.... and certain bridges/overpass/tunnel. Always cop on the other side waiting for motorbikes coming..... stupid. But blue indicator, white tail light etc - never say anything :) AND you in Singapore or Malaysia ALWAYS have the nice parts for the RXZ... even brand new RXZ!! In Thailand, the newest RXZ is 1995......... almost impossible to find parts for them, and racing parts COMPLETELY impossible, like those sport rims or Yoshimura footrest things.... i want it so much but can not get, not even for a million Baht. Have to fly to Singapore to buy it :..( Maybe some day if i have much too much time and money, i make a road trip - Bangkok-Singapore on my RXZ, it will sure do it.

A question for malay guys - what does it mean "rempit" - is that like "racing"..? And "kapchai" is like "moped"..? If i want a sticker for my bike saying "racing moped", how to say in malay? I need something on the back of my box, and i like to use malay language because i like it :)

I wish everyone a good day and safe drive with your RXZ - keep the two-stroke spirit high!

With kind regards.....

okay firstly...for the fibre...yeah it help to tone down the volume of the pipe...no fibre = noisy pipe...

In SG no 91...only 92 and above...for my z last time i either use 92 or 95 but if go malaysia...98 and above...:cheeky:

Yeah...by law in sg,u can modified anything on ur bike at all...but they do give and take...kinda surprise that thai dont have rxz stuff...cause what i know its the heaven for bikes part...

REMPIT---hehe not really sure either...though it always associate with gangsters biker ..esp the one riding rxz...:p KAPCHAI refer to bike like wave,x1,125z,spark etc etc...all the small cc bike with no tank...rxz is not kapchai...racing moped? sorry not sure what moped in malay is hahaha...paisey i malay...i know moped is small cc bike aight...haha have to pass this to the other malay guys...

Hello Thanh,

I'm wondering which part of Bangkok are you staying? I've been there quite a lot of times, and stayed around Sukhumvit area near Nana Station. I noticed there's a lot of bikes on the road, but most of the RXZs are old. Is it too expensive to get a bike there?

Good day!

Hi :)

I stay on Sukhumvit Soi 70, that's the Bangna area, quite close to the BITEC exhibition centre. I know Nana tough, i can be there in 15 minutes from my place :)

ALL RXZ here are old - as the last time they were sold was 1995, so there are no newer than 1995 available. This is the reason why it is so difficult to get parts - all dealers will only say "bike too old, parts no have". But an RXZ (such old one) is cheap to get - i paid for mine 5.000 Baht but it was complete junk - in top condition a '94 or '95 may cost 10.000 - 12.000 Baht (~300 - ~340 us$). To compare, a new Honda Wave 125 cost 40.000 Baht.

If you go to Bangkok again, let me know - i can show you mine RXZ :)

Kind regards.....

how much does RXZ cost now?

i have someone who wanna let me takeover his bike.

carry on his intalments for 16mnths x $166.

1st hand...

do u think it's worth it?

Whats the bike plate number? Check for the COE expiration date. RXZ @ $166/mnth is too expensive. I'm paying mine at $106/mnth and left 16 months also. COE expire at 2010.

My advise is, check out somewhere else. Not worth your money.

Yeah Thanh, when I get to Bangkok, I'm sure gonna contact you. I have an Uncle who stays and work there. He's warehouse is at Soi 3, the area where there's a lot of Halal Muslim food. I love that area:thumb: , lots of food to choose from and especially I'm a Muslim.

Anyway, my RXZ is quite old, almost 7 years on the road. I bought it at SGD$1900 ~ 40,469bht. I'm not sure about your regulations, but here in Singapore, the price includes COE(Certificate of Entitlement) which is about SGD$1000. This makes your bike valid for use for 10 years only. And there's still Insurance. I paid $640 for insurance.:(

Having a bike in Singapore is not cheap, but still affordable as a transport.

Are there any race circuit in Thailand? I know there's a Thai racer in MotoGP. I think he is in the 250cc class if I'm not wrong.o_O

Regards,:p

"REMPIT" is more like a slang for the illegal and dangerous riders in Malaysia. They tend to modify their bike to make it go fast and loud. They will do stunts on the main road, either with or without pillion. Race on roads. This will only happen in the dead of night usually, but many reports in YouTube have displayed those "REMPITs" in action in daylight.

Their favourite bikes are those 2 stroke and 4 stroke tankless bikes like Honda Wave, Spark 135. Even RXZs are not spared. Basically any bike that is modification-capable and cheap can be transformed.

Mat REMPIT is classified as Guys on bikes. Minah REMPIT is classified for Girls on bikes.

This phenomenon has affected some Singapore riders, but the number of them is still not much compared to those in Malaysia. And the extremes, like trading girlfriends when losing a race to burning bikes, getting stuck under lorries and buses are their trademark.

Luckily, Singaporeans still have the brains to prevent all this from happening.

I hope this guide is useful for you.

PS: Race in the circuit is for glory, race on the road going to be gory. Ride safely!:thumb:
