actually, it all started frm me. initially itz juz my xpresson of saying 'DUH!' or 'HUH?' n itz actally in malay.. howeva, HAUS in malay literally means THIRSTY.. so the word actually doesnt really link or associate wit the xpression dat ive xplain abv.. Hehehe, sumhw, it has bcome a habit for me to end every sentence wit HAUS. Datz y the guyz here have been CHEEKILY n out of a sudden use MY word... kekekekeke!! HAUS!!

First of all, my current "brake problem" has of course nothing to do with me being gay - which is why i mentioned it, in a sense that any problem i may face is certainly and completely unrelated to the fact that i am gay. So if YOU happen to be gay, don't expect any problems, either - you will only be faced with ignorant people who have no idea what they are talking about

 

Then, yes, "Haus" definitely means "house" in German. Yup, as i am not only gay but also German, i know that language well Still i want to learn at least some Malay as well....

 

Now, back to my "brake problem". Usually i am dealing with A-AN 07, but he is currently too busy to take care for this issue, which requires a trip to Malaysia apparently.

 

So i am hereby asking publicly for assistance - specially to people that frequently come to Malaysia and have access to this sort of spare part.

 

I need URGENTLY a disc brake caliper to be used in the rear on mine RXZ. The model is a "local Brembo", i.e. a fake one. I need the exact same type as this one, i bought this from A-AN 07 a while ago and it developed a problem with the brake pads, which for lack of parts i was unable to solve, and now the caliper itself is damaged beyond repair and works no longer as it should - the brake, if working at all, is extremely weak as only one of the pistons still moves.

 

The distance between the screw holes (hole middle to hole middle) is 8.5 centimeters.

 

Attached are two pictures of the device. I will need a BRAND NEW ONE of this exact type because only it does fit to the adaptor plate. A-AN 07 himself knows where to get it and probably also how much it will cost. Since i live in Thailand, i need someone to buy one such caliper for me and bring it to A-AN 07, he will send it to me. I will transfer the money to him in advance so don't worry, you don't need to pay for this.

 

I need to know how much this thing costs and i will then immediately transfer the required amount.

 

Please, guys, this issue is urgent and you are the only ones able to help me since such parts are not available in Thailand at all, i tried it already.

Thank you very much for the reply. Yes, i need the entire caliper, the golden coloured part. Including the brake pads inside (they should come together with the caliper anyway as it usually is sold as a set).

 

What i do NOT need is the adaptor plate (silver colour thingy which the caliper is bolted to) and brake hose.

 

And yeah, i need it brand new, no second-hand. Only that way i can be sure it functions 100% the way it should.

Thank you SO MUCH for assistance, both of you who offered to help me out. I really really appreciate it.

 

Please ask A-AN 07 for confirmation that i always pay for parts that i order, regardless what parts they are, new or used. I have once been bitten (sent money in cash before the parts were bought by the other party) and he simply took the money and never sent me anything, which is why i changed to paying via PayPal, after some headaches there i got it sorted and it works flawlessly now.

 

I am in a poor position because i live in Thailand where RXZ has not been sold since 1995 and parts are very rare, and special parts such as this brake caliper are simply not available at all. On the other hand RXZ's, because they are so old, are available very cheap - i just bought one, almost complete and including quite a few racing parts, for only 2.000 Baht because it had no papers - that is the same price i previously paid for one single 18" aluminium rim without spokes and hub (but that was new and brand "D.I.D.")

 

An RXZ with all parts present and papers can be had in ok condition for maybe 4,000 Baht... these are cheap bikes here, (ab)used for hauling heavy stuff around town, usually by garages or repair shops. In Chinatown many RXZ can be seen as they are cheap and reliable transport here. But for people like myself who not only love to ride but also modify here and there, the situation is bad.... no parts/accessories. My Z already contains quite a few parts from Kawasaki GTO and Honda Phantom, as well as TZR (piston)

 

Plus, now, i got an entire spare engine (custom racing engine actually where there is not a single stock part inside, but now it has my stock block and piston because i put the bored up 150cc one on my daily driver "Bulldozer"), a low racing fork "Showa" with matching brake system (from a Honda Sonic, with adaptor plate to fit a stock RXZ disc), a set of 17" aluminium spoke wheels, the rear with custom drum brake that takes stock RXZ brake shoes, my old cover set that can, after some modification, be re-used, a front fairing, low seat ("racing type") etc.... all i need to build another RXZ is a tank and a frame The tank that was on that cheap RXZ had a hole because it was rusted from inside-out, and the frame i used to fix mine, plus it had no papers anyway,.

 

But *some day* i'll build a kick-ass racing-Z (this stuff is perfectly legal here as long as it has working lights and isn't excessively loud) and then you can see Thanh screaming down Petchaburi road or Rama 9, eating NSR's and VRR's in the process

 

But first i need that brake for my Bulldozer.

What will happen if the clutch housing is damaged? Will you hear awful noise everytime you ride. cause every time i ride while at 3 or 4 gear at low rpm or going up hill the noise get worse. or at highway riding. i dont dare to go above 90. like stressing the machine too much. one more thing. some one will understand only if i pillion them and show the problem cause i put main stand gear 1 and run the bike, cannot really hear the awful noise.

i know one of my workfren ever did to his rxz before..but i cant really confirm coz i havent seen it personally,but he told me he did it at a bikeshop in sin ming there..the mechanic name ah seng..

Does this only appear in 3rd and 4th gear? Or also in 5th, 6th? If only 3+4 it could be something with the gears. if it's in all gears, check your con rod (the one between the piston and the crank shaft), it has two bearings, one at the crank shaft and one at the piston side. Either one can be worn out and generate this noise. Characteristics: Noise gets louder when under load, such as low rpm/high torque operation.

 

If that's the case, have the con rod replaced along with both bearings. Riding with a lose con rod can cause the worn bearing to disintegrate and cause major damage to piston and block.

 

Other than that, also a lose clutch basket (correct word??) and lose clutch plates can cause very similar noise. Hold your ear against the engine when it's idle, and determine where the noise comes from - block or gearbox.
