i wanna ask... i want to buy rxz... i have a budget of $2000. do you think it's enough? i passed my license back in sep and have not riden any bike.. cause saving money for bike (me student mah)

then, next year i'm going ns... so if i buy bike... COE short good or COE long good?

let me be your host for today. first of all welcome to RXZ lovers.

a budget for $2000 is good enuf. but that maybe for your machine price. you might need a few more hundred for the insurance.

 

guideline for insurance: third party only.

 

below 19 u haf to get ntuc which is $780

above 19 u can get axa which is $580

 

about COE long or short that depends on you bro. if you intend to stick to one bike then get a long COE. if you intend to upgrade get Short COE.

Let me tell you something since you are not too sure about COE and all, before some guy or shop cheats you.

Definitely a longer coe is good since you have a budget of 2grant.

Don't go paying 2grant for a bike that has a few months left of coe.

Once the COE is finish you will have to fork out more than thousand over dollars just to have the bike yours again. Coe is just like a long lease when it is due you will have to renew.

 

Hope that gives you an idea on the COE matter.

Basic RXZ Info

Petrol Tank Capacity- 13 litres

Dry Weight- 106KG

Battery- 12V 35W/30W

 

NGK B8ES/BR8ES/BR9ES

Spark Plug can last at least 10000km

2T engine oil, buy what u can afford, as long bike got 2T can already.

 

Tire Pressure- Front 185kPa Rear 215kPa (For 18" spoke Rims) Distance better

 

Front 200kpa Rear 225kpa (For 17" alloy sport Rims) Cornering better

 

****tire pressure varies depending on riding condition****no right or wrong

 

Tires:

TT900GP gd for distance, BT39 gd for cornering, TT900 not so lasting as TT900GP.

 

Pilot sporty dry weather very gd, wet weather when lane splitting abit unstable.

Wears off super fast

 

Tires Size u choose yourself.

 

Engine Oil one yr nv change also can, cos only lubricate gearbox only.

can change every 6 months if u wan, or when the EO level is low(can just top up abit).

 

Top up when necessary or change EO if EO diluted.

Abt diy-ing, no prob. Over here lots of us learnin to diy the Z ourselves since it is such an easy and straightforward bike to project on... Like rite now, I'm in the process of portin my spare 1.75 bored block!!! Lengit ah but pelan2 kayuh. By 2011 then can test it on my bike. Hehe...

More than enough. I think the extra cash do it for full service. If u wanna find a good RXZ, find the ones wif the Jap blue coverset... Then can trade coversets wif me...

I think tat's the reason why tat one point of time u once said ur Z can't go fast. Hehe... Confirm when changin eo, very black, thick gooey oil come out one. 1 year leh. Confirm whoever change the eo for u will swear and grumble. Whahahaha... But then again, if u already plan to change and upgrade, it won't matter anyway. It's just another passing by bike...

Anyway bro, try not to take any kind of meds just cuz u can't sleep. Ur puttin harmful chemicals into ur body and ur gonna make ur body rely on those pills whenever u can't sleep. Sooner or later, ur body will be immune to small dozes and u'll be definitely be wantin more. Well just to share only, through experience. Not me though, just some other hamba Allah. Thank god she's doin fine now after I nasihatkan her.

 

If ur having sleepless nite, wat u can do is drink milk, warm preferably. Read books/mags/RXZ manual, watch tv/movies/porn, count sheeps/ex gfs/outstanding bills. Or maybe u can hang out wif ur frens! Better yet, JOIN A'AN FOR HIS MELALAKING SESSION TIS COMING WEEKEND FOR UR SLEEPLESS NITE.

for now i change every 5000-6000km, cos 4 stroke mah, no point keep changing EO

Guys, would like to ask for help!

Whenever I changed my EO for the past 2 EO change,

I noticed dat my exhaust pipe becomes very SMOKEY when riding!!

It may take a week of riding to lessen the SMOKE!!

Why is that so?? What's the problem?? Appreciate if any of u guys can help.

Maybe they fill too much oil? Or the shaft seal ring on your crank shaft (right side) is broken and engine oil can go through, you need to have it changed. The engine burns engine oil for sure.
