Insurance - sub rider to rider

I have just passed my licence abt 2 months ago. I am a currently registered as a sub rider. I intend to get my own bike soon. I have a few questions in mind.

 

1) How do I cancel my name as a sub rider?

2) Can I tranfer the insurance, as a sub rider, to cover for the new ride? If it is possible, do I have to do it personally or can the dealer help me with it?

3) If the transferring is not possible, how do I cancel the insurance and will I get the insurance amount back?

1) there's no need to cancel your name as a sub rider cause you're just "leeching" on the main rider's insurance .

 

2)You can't . You'll have to get a NEW insurance whereby you'll be the MAIN rider . It's better for you to go down personally to the insurance company to get it done .

 

3)I'm Not sure :r , it's better for you to call the insurance company to check .
