Booked my self on a SATURDAY for the FREE INSPECTION and 'complained' about the bike still stalling once in a while. Did a diagnostic on the bike and this time had the front speed sensor changed (approx. $150) for free as its still under warranty. Remapped the ECU as well. Julian did a fantastic job with looking after the bikes. David left so he is OMO now.

Looks great! Does it hinges fit nicely? How much does it cost for the RR rear seat and did you get it from PML?

My fiancee has been complaining abt butt aches riding my bike. Coz the seat was too thin. I got an S1000rr pillion seat and realised that its thicker than our s1000r seat. Hahaha..

250km for 15L seems good. :)

 

Well, this is a continental bike the brand comes with a price I should say. The petrol: im getting 250km for a 15 litre tank.. Handles like a breeze, fun to ride. A lot of head wind when ur riding fast.

For me ..

 

1. Guzzler (drinks lotsa petrol), so definitely NOT an everyday bike for commuting.

2. The engine is quite noisy (idle rpm is 1250) at stationary.

 

I won't say maintenance cost is high. Its a BMW bike after all.

 

Whats the negative side when getting S1000R?

 

Maintenance? Petrol comsumption?

I did not receive the sms maybe because i am not the first owner. Do you think i should call them up?

Yeah,i am getting about 140km when reserve lights come on.

If the bike is from PML, I think can call them to check if can update the new owner so that in future you get notified ELSE just send you bike in for your next maintenance.

Actually had done the update of ownership at PML the day i collected the bike. Is Julian the person to look for when sending in the bike for servicing/maintenance?

I also didnt get the SMS from PML? Hw do i update the owner status? My bike is from PML.

I gt it online from ebay.. PML is selling ard $360 plus.. my seat came from an S1000RR 2014 and fits perfect. Just need to interchange the locks.. a simple 5 mins job..

I bidded for this one.. but too expensive so i waited... someone else selling it cheaper and a pounce on it.. hahaha.. i got mine at $180 with shipping..

eBAY can be very addictive esp when there are so many things you wanna buy. :p I probably have like ten over items in my watchlist. Early this week bought a AGV helmet from Italy.

the best part is I have 3 items bought previously sitting on my table for 2 months not yet installed on the bike. I think more like sux-in enjoying the buying then wanna install it~

IN the RR site, someone mentioned the torx on our bike are torx-plus. Then there is also a pix of the bike where various torx size are used. U should also join the s1000r UK site if you have not. Very informative.

Wow.. thats pricey man.. its the short end can slip on rite? I saw a few after market end cans that is LTA approved. Gianelli, bodis.. but not sure of the prices though...
