i had this bad dream once where i was riding my 2b bike at quite a high speed. noticed some thing black and wavy in my side mirror but i didn't dare to check it. checked again from the pale streetlights, i identified it as long hair.

it was flying wildly in the wind behind me when i'm travelling at 160km/hr. finally i decided to slow down to a 100 and look behind me. saw this sneering skull of a woman with glowing red eyes and long messy hair in a torn black cloak holding on to my rear fairing with it's bony hands.

well, not really scary considering that it was a dream. if that happened to me in reality, i would have screamed like a b!tch

i do believe in dreams does comes true. sometimes what we dreamt are totally the opposite or the reality. But, to a very low low low percentage of chance, ppl with dream about the future, and the actual same thing will happen in the future.

happens to me a few times, dream of the future. den when it actually happens, was wondering how comes things seemed so familiar although i only been to the place and doing the thing for the day.

As for me, hmm.. not much of a ghost story teller.

CASE 1:

There's 1 time during a lunar 7th month. me and some buddies went cycling ard our neighbourhood at midnight. after a few rounds, one of them decided to cycle into the NTU campus. so.. we just went in cycle deep into the campus. den turn 1 round and decide to cycle out already. on the way out, some of us decided to take a rest down at the small garden/park or watever those ppl in NTU called it. so, we took a rest at 1 of the pavillion. we were talking happily halfway and den, a moment of silence. as so 1 person asked, "could we make a move now?" den my best fren said, "aiya, rest awhile more la." and he replied, "no no, really. can we make a move now?" seeing that his face is pale white and with his cigerette half dangling on his mouth. we all said ok ok. in just a few seconds, he was already on his bike and sprinting away. we all just follow him all the way until the blk 651 coffee shop in jurong west. only at there, he told us that he saw a white mist appear out from the palm tree behind me. and it stayed right there behind me. that really freaks me out. den i tell them my part, i already saw dark shadows running about the place when we were cycling on top before going down to the pavillion.

CASE 2:

Was told by my best fren that last time when he had went cycling with this group of malays from boon lay. 1) at a construction site, they saw foot prints appearing on the muddy ground as though some 1 was walking. 2) heard a female screaming voice at the bukit batok nature park. 3) 1 of his fren were cycling at labrador park. always fall for dunno what reason. all the other frens doesn't seem to fall. as he's superstitous, he got rid of his red bicycle on the spot and took a cab home. the other frens' bicycle doesn't have a single red color. (of course took out all the spare parts already la.)

CASE 3:

Was cycling pass bukit batok nature park, going to bukit timah. heard this eerie female laughing sound echoing from the park. tell u the truth, we were cycling hard and fast up the uphill road after we heard that sound. can really see us accelerating up the road.

True or Fiction, is up to u guys to believe.

In The Army - B For Bravo

During my younger days when I was still a secondary student I stayed in Bukit

Merah area which has a lot of Chinese temple activities most of the time. I was a

member of the Singapore Boy's Brigade and therefore I was required to attend

church service on every Sunday. Not only that, because my English was weaker, I

chose bible study as my religion subject in school so that I could improve my

English with more English lesson. Despite my rojak religious environment I never

take religion seriously. Beside going to school, I spent most of my time with a

group of pig friends dog mates 猪朋狗友. One of my dog mate was Jack, his home

is a Chinese temple and his father is a medium. Sometimes when his temple needed

manpower to play drum, we would be mobilized to take up the role. Among us,

there were muslim and catholic friends but they won't really care. We were all

doing it only out of fun and for companionship. :cheeky:

I'm closer to Jack because we attended the same secondary school. Because of

his family back ground, Jack can see, hear and feel spiritual around him. He knew I

can't and therefore he never want to frighten me and would only tell me after we

were away from the scene. I remember one incident happened inside the lift of his

flat. Jack and I were on our way to his home after school to fold incense papers

for his temple's festival. Just when we were walking out of the lift, jack asked “did

you see something?” I replied “see what?” Jack whispered this in my ear while

walking towards his home “a man wearing a white long sleeve shirt standing at the

rear of the lift looking on the floor.” Hmmm…I don't remember seeing anyone inside

the lift beside both of us. Anyway, I dare not to use that lift when I was going

back from Jack's home that night and I never use it alone again.

Coincidentally, Jack and I were enlisted to the same unit, same platoon and

sharing the same bunk in the army. Our unit was 30th SCE and it was located in

the Khatib Camp in Yishun before the unit was moved to Jurong later. Discipline

was highly demanded even when we were just a recruit because we would be

trained to handle explosive after we passed-out. And because of our tough training

we were going through during the day, all the recruits were required to attend

water parade, putting a mug full of plain water into our stomach before we go to

bed. This is to prevent us from getting dehydration from the tough training the

next day. However, due to the mug of water, we usually have to wake up in the

middle of the night for the toilet. Because of our tough disciplinary training, we

were not allowed to walk in the unit. We must jog to make us move with sense of

urgency. Not only that, we were required to greet and ask permission before we

passed every officer or corporal on our way. So one morning, as usual, i woke up in

the middle of my sleep dragging my tired feet jogging toward the damn bloody far

toilet situated right at the far end of the corridor. I passed through many other

dark bunks with only sound of pig's snoring like an orchestra along the corridor

before I realized I came to an officer wearing a white shirt standing outside a bunk

with his back facing me. Although I was very tight at that time, I still managed to

stop to greet him and asked for permission to pass-by. He remain silent, no answer

from him and he remain facing at the glass vision panel on the bunk's door. I

thought since he is not looking at me, why not I just run across him and most likely

he won't know was me. So, to save some time for sleeping, I simply run acrossed

and went for my business. Few minutes later when I came out, he was gone from

a long corridor that has only an exit staircase beside the toilet I was using. But I

don't remember I hear any foot step sound walking past the toilet while I was

using. But anyway, I was too tired with the training and anything imaginative

would not crossed my mind then. I thought - Whew! Lucky that the officer did not

wait for me outside, if not I might be punished for not asking for permission to

pass-by him. :sorry:

The next day, while we were having a short break in between training out in the

field, I broke the incident I came acrossed in the morning to my platoon mates. I

said “hey hey, you guys better watch-out, I saw an officer standing outside

section one's bunk trying to catch some monkeys smoking when I was going to the

toilet this morning”. Our conversation was later over heard by a corporal who was

quite closed to us. He asked me “did you remember any of our white shirts in our

unit has no logo?” Yes, all of our unit t-shirt comes with a polar bear logo behind

except the one I saw this morning. Now, the corporal reminded me something. The

corporal must have known something we don't know. What the hell, how am I

going to release my water from my bladder this morning after hearing

this!!!!??? :faint:

As usual, we went to bed after the water parade. But tonight, I have a deal with

Jack, I will wake him up to go with me if I got the call from my bladder in the

morning. I scare mah! So that morning, I wake him up to attend the call with me.

The sound of pig's snoring was business as usual but the officer in white shirt was

not there. Anyway, this was going on for the next few days without anything

strange happened.

One Sunday evening, while we were gathering around a table in our bunk after we

had tidy up our cupboard from the weekend break. Jack suggested something very

constructive. He suggested that we play - plate on the paper game ‘Die Xian’ 碟仙

inside the bunk to see if spiritual really exists in our company. Everyone in the

platoon knows the background of Jack because sometime Jack ask to excuse for

attending urgent matter in his temple (Geng One lah). We were not prepared for

the game in advance therefore we didn't prepare an original ‘Die Xian’ 碟仙 from

the Chinese book store. However, we use a 50 cents coin and a piece of plain

paper to draft words from A - Z and numbers 0 – 9 onto it. We have at least about

20 platoon mates inside our bunk now but only 4 players were required for the

game. Jack, me, Ken and an Indian name Kuma. All 4 of us placed our middle finger

on the 50 cents coin. We were then instructed by Jack to read our name out one

by one while moving the coin with our fingers onto it in circular motion on the plain

paper. After 4 of us had read out our name, Jack asked the first question. He

asked “any soul around – 有灵魂在吗 ?” The coin went round and round and

suddenly it stopped at 2. Everybody start cursing at each other for moving the

coin intentionally. Well whether was intentionally or not, nobody know but one

thing for sure is Jack started to hear foot steps sound coming toward our direction

but never reached. I was told by Jack later after the game that the sound of the

foot step he heard was very strange. Why strange? Because it was sound of

someone walking with a pair of boots, army boots! Who would wear an army boots

on a Sunday evening? No, everyone was wearing slippers when we were playing

that game in our bunk. With the unusual silent from all the spectators eyeing on

the coin plus the weird questions, it does attribute some spooky atmosphere in the

bunk. The second question Jack asked “Male or female?” The coin moved to -

male. Jack asked “How old are u?” The coin moved to – B. Jack asked “What is

your name?” The coin moved a round and come back to – B again. This thing went

on with irrelevant answers for awhile before we decided to call off the game. By

the way, up to this point we were not told of any strange thing from any of our

senior pertaining to our unit. So, whether was there a spirit or 2 spirits was still a

question mark to me and Jack. But Jack was convinced that there is at least a

spirit in our company judging from the foot steps sound he heard earlier. So, Jack

decided to make his own investigation. His own because I would not

followed.

Anyway, the whole thing came to light after Jack met face to face with the spirit

in the toilet that morning. Jack is a season ghost hunter and he believe doing thing

like this is to help clear the resentment from a soul and is considered doing a good

deed and since he is one of the few that can be closer to the spirits, he chose not

to hide but extend his helping hand to the lost soul if he is needed. Well, the

following was what happened to Jack on that fateful morning.

Although all of us have gone back to our own bed after the game, Jack's mind was

still lingering with the moment of the boot's step sound. Just when he was about

to take-off to his dreamland, he heard someone moaning very softly from outside

the bunk. He walked out of the bunk to check the sound. He noticed that the

sound was coming from the direction of the toilet. He walked along the dark

corridor towards the toilet unarmed. He saw a man in white shirt with his back

facing him standing at the corner inside the toilet. Jack walked to him and starts

talking to him. Anyway, Jack already knew who he is at this point. Jack was told

that he has no food, no shirt and has no ‘money’ to use. So, out of sympathy and

goodwill, Jack promised him that we will do something for him if only the unit

allowed us to do our prayer inside the camp. And Jack also asked him not to come

back after he got what he wanted.

Well, this piece of news was spread very fast like a SARS in our unit the next

morning. Even officers from the other company came to see Jack for interview.

Why? Because there was actually an accident happened to a man from Bravo

Company about a year ago before our enlistment. Anyone from Bravo in 1985 –

1987 should know the story very well. I was from Charlie company. Remember

the ‘Die Xian’ 碟仙 ? The coin was stopped twice at – B and once at 2? B is Bravo

and 2 is the floor level for Bravo Company. Coincident or what, i dont know, you

make your own judgment. Anyway, before Bravo Company go ORD, they were

mobilized to take part in one of the few major exercises and it was to build a

Battalion Command Post out in the field over night. Although excavators were used

to do the dredger of the post but many other things which couldn't be reached by

the machine would have to be done by men. The fatal accident happened after

the end of exercise when all the soldiers were already very exhausted with the

training and the restless night in the next morning. Some of the soldiers were

happily resting inside the already done 12 feet deep BCP while waiting for their

breakfast that morning, one of the excavator operator had his breakfast before the

other and thus he went and start his machine thinking that he can finish his job

earlier so that he can rest earlier. He used his machine to doze a pile of soil into

the BCP without first checking if any soldier inside. Unfortunately, 2 soldiers were

dozing off below that spot. They were buddies. One was awaken by the small

falling stones before the pile of soil and managed to jump out. He tried to pull his

buddy by the SBO but was too late. His buddy was covered completely from the

pile of soil. Everybody there starts using their hands to remove the covered soil

furiously. By the time he was pulled out, he had died from suffocation inside the

soil. This piece of news was been published on the news paper sometime in 1987.

Anyway, whether the spirit that Jack last spoken to in our toilet was that the

Bravo man or not, no one know. And we would never know because we never see

him again after we had done the prayer for him inside the camp. And Jack is still

my good friend and for your info, he is a medium now. :thumb:

thanks for all the compliments and warm encouragement from the readers.

i'm grateful tat u like my humble stories. here is my next story 2 kill ur 3rd CBL

day of CNY. :cheeky:

A Lost Soul

Ah Seng was a young and handsome man at the age of early 20's many years ago.

he was like any other modern neighbourhood child today, he got a dream for his

career, love and hopefully a family of his own, and he was a free-thinker. for some

reasons, he was always feeling unwell. he cant concentrate in his job during the

day becos he always felt uncomfortable and dizzy. he went to consult his family

doctor but was prescribed for only some anti-biotic. he went to a hospital for a full

body diagnosis and again nothing unusual was diagnosed. eventually, a friend of

his suggested tat he go to visit a medium 乩童 in a Taoist's temple. he was

hesitated becos he lived in a christian family. but, although he was living under the

influence of a mostly christian environment, he never attended church service

after his secondary school day.

Out of curiousity to find out wat a Taoist's medium can do, he agreed and went to

a temple his friend familiar with. he was told by the medium in trance tat he was

selected and picked by a heavenly deity 神明 to provide asistance to the deity to

serve in the community. another word means, he is picked to be a Taoist's

medium. ah seng did not believed of wat the medium said. he went to a few other

temples to enquire the same issue and everytime he got the same answer. as a

young and stubborn man, also with little or no general knowledge with taoism

practise, ah seng refused to accept the facts. few months later, ah seng felt sick

again during his work and eventually he collapsed in his office. he was sent to the

hospital for observation and was later discharged with a clean bill for health again.

puzzled and confused are all we can describe him now. he went back to the first

temple which his friend was familiar with reluctantly and beg for any favorable

solution beside being a Taoist's medium. he was told to go to the Jade Emporer

temple ( Head of Heavenly God Temple ) 玉皇庙 to ask for an exemption or some

extension of time for him to consider the appointment. the final decision was on

the card of the Jade Emperor. anyway, ah seng was not given an exemption but

was given 6 months to make a decision by the Jade Emperor.

Well, nothing unusual happened to him for the past 6 months. but happy time

usually passed like the speed of bullet. he started to feel like wat he used to feel 6

months ago again. but this time, for the sake of his career, ah seng decided to

give up. he surrendered himself to the first Taoist's temple he visited and he was

appointed as a medium of Dai Sen Yah ( Monkey God ).

With little interest and knowledge about the practises and teaching of Taoism, ah

seng joined his temple involuntarily. however, there is always some house rules to

follow. a Taoism's temple and a new medium were not exempted to follow certain

guidelines and rules enforced by the Heavenly God. new mediums are required to

report for his call of duty to the Jade Emperor's Temple ( Heavenly God ) before he

could start his national service with any Taoist's temple.ah seng is included. he

have to prepare a 'lin' flag 令籏 ( flag of duty/order ) to the Jade Emperor's Temple

for endorsement. once the endorsement is done, a big chop from the Jade

Emperor's Temple will stamp onto his 'lin' flag like an order 接令. tats it, he is now

pronounced a 'P' plate medium not only tat, the new medium's life is now belongs

to the Jade Emperor and is undetachable.

Well, as like many other new and young medium, ah seng has a dream. he hope tat

he could have better luck with everything he do from now. he was hopeful for it

becos he thought tat he is now a member of god and have power, privilege and

authority to do things tat other may not have. but his thought was completely

wrong. not only tat his living was not improving, he also has lesser time for leisure.

the only flavorable changed for him now is he live healthier and can perform better

in his day job. but he was not satisfied. few months down the road and things are

still not improving. ah seng started to act impatiently. to my understanding, a

medium's life is usually more on the rocky side during the beginning. this is becos,

to make a good medium, he must be able to feel the sorrow and the pain of all the

helpless devotees comes to him. if a medium is rich and famous, he would not be

able to feel it. also, if he is so rich and famous, he would usually have little time to

sit on the wooden dragon chair to help other and perform his duty well. instead, he

would have more time on the soft sofa chair in a fanciful nite club.

Anyway, ah seng was totally disappointed with wat he got for him now. from little

interest he had to zero interest with the Taoism and his temple. he thought all

these tat happened were juz a joke to him. so, to avoid a crash head-on with the

Jade Emperor, ah seng went apostasy. he decided to accept baptize from a well

known church in town. hoping his day as a Taoist's medium would over. well, do

you guys think it can be over?

All the taoist's medium tat read tis would surely agreed wif me tat once the Jade

Emperor's chop is landed and filmly stamped onto a medium's 'lin' flag, the bond is

endorsed. Anyway, the decision was his and no one could stop him. ah seng has a

group of friends tat he like to hang around with. they're childhood friends and they

shared the same interest so they were closer and they used to go outing together

on their bikes. one of his best childhood friend is name ah beng and he has a

girlfriend called ah lian which would usually tacked along with them.

Few years later in a sunny day, ah seng was hit by a taxi from behind when he

was trying to 'cup corner' make a bend along bedok reservoir road. he fell and

skidded more than 10 m away. this was happened in the eyes of his other friends

riding behind him including ah beng and ah lian. they rushed forward to extend their

helping hands to him and his pillion which was his girlfriend for few years. his

girlfriend managed to stand up by herself with only a few visible scratches wound

on her leg but ah seng was not so lucky. he was unconcious and lying flat on the

road without any visible injury. worry tat they might injure him further without

proper assistance, the group could only gathered around by his side anxiously while

waiting for ambulance to arrive. suddenly, ah lian cry out loudly, sobbing and

screaming looking at ah seng's body while she was holding on tightly to ah beng's

arm and says this " uh.....(sobbing) ah seng is gone....waaa!) you know why?

becos ah lian has a pair of 'yin yang eyes' 阴阳眼 and she can see spirits and she

saw ah seng's soul walked out of his physical body few minutes after the

accident. she never tell anyone tat she has 3rd eyes except her boyfriend ah beng

becos she was told not to mention anything she saw. ambulance arrived few

minutes later and the paramedics pronouced him dead on the spot.

A chirstianity wake for ah seng was held by his family members. everything was

done inaccordance to a christian style. songs and prayers were inevitable. all

believes tat ah seng is now in the hands of jesus christ joyfully.

Sometime early 2005, ah beng keep dreaming of ah seng in his sleep. he dreamt ah

seng with a bare body facing him silently and the background was blur, too blur to

identify the place. after 3 days of dreaming ah seng continuatiously at night, ah

beng decided to pay ah seng's parents a visit. he told them and elaborate the

scene he saw in the dream to ah seng's parents. unsurprisingly, they blushed off

ah beng's claimed and were confident tat ah seng is now living in peace with god.

Ah beng is confused but he remember ah seng was once a medium with a Taoist's

temple, so juz to try his luck and render his help to ah seng if required, ah beng

came to our temple thru a friend of his. after he described the scene he remember

from the dream, Dua Ya Peh 大爷伯 made a quick check on his abacus. Dua Ya Peh

saw a skinny young chinese man wandering around on the street in his last

accident area without any clothing . a talisma 符咒 was given to ah beng for him

to put under his sleeping pillow at night. this was to help him to dream ah seng

clearer and thus to find out wat ah seng intended to say. one week later, ah beng

came back to our temple again. he said he saw ah seng bare body facing him and

claimed tat he has no food and clothes for the last 3 years since after the traffic

accident. he asked ah beng to help him to look for help from a Taoist's temple

becos he was denied entry to the gate of hell.

Generally, every Taoist's temple will extend their help to all the souls tat come to

us. weather u are black or a white, a living or a dead soul, a rich or a poor, there's

no boundery between us. ah seng was included. eventhough ah seng apostasy his

religion, the Taoist's deities never hold any grudges against him. his death was

definitely a 'jie' 劫 a disaster fated for him and was purely an accident. ah seng

has commited himself to the Jade Emperor and thus ah seng is belongs to the Jade

Emperor alive or dead. in the eyes of the god, ah seng is a Taoist and he still is

even he baptized. ah seng has an incomplete duty with Taoism in his last life, he

didnt make it to repay. therefore, he will come back to make his repayment next

life. he can run but he can never hide. :nono:

A date was fixed to perform a ritual for ah seng at the scene in bedok reservoir

road. u can find the pics at http://yeobt.multiply.com/photos/album/1 as usual, we

pay respect to the 'tu ti gong' 土地公 mayor of the ground there and the other

wandering spirits 孤魂 within the vicinity before we start our ritual. tis is a common

practise for Toaism doing ritual outside. we rounded up a circle of well with loads

of incense papers for ah seng. his many favourite foods were also specially

prepared for him by 3 of his best friends tat attended the ritual but not ah lian. ah

lian did not attend the ritual becos she juz couldn't bear to see ah seng at the

present stage and she dont wish to see ah seng leave without any farewell

message to them yet again. (sob)

His 3 friends tat attended the ritual were asked by Dua Ya Peh whether would they

be interested to see their best friend for the last time. they were all agreed. their

eyes were cleansed by Dua Ya Peh hoping tat they could spot him somewhere

before ah seng walked nearer to us and into the circle we built with incense

papers. no, no one see ah seng beside only Dua Ya Peh. ah seng was directed into

the circle well of incense papers we prepared for him. ah seng was also told to

take his time for the food his best friend prepared for him before Dua Ya Peh bring

him down to the gate of hell. while everyone of us were there waiting for ah seng

to enjoy his food, Dua Ya peh turned and says tis to his 3 best friend. "does any

one has any news with his girlfriend?" they looked puzzled. Dua Ya Peh then turned

and looked into the direction we all assumed ah seng was sitting and a moment

later, Dua Ya Peh turned back to his 3 best friends again, he said "she has long

hair and was the pillion when ah seng was hit in the traffic accident". oh, recalled

ah beng, he said she was not seriously hurt in the accident and was now lost

contact with her after ah seng's funeral. i was told by Dua Ya Peh later tat ah

seng sob after he heard tis and he said he missed her alot. now, he have to live

without the woman he used to love, tat's really pitiful.

Well, although the ending for ah seng was sad but atleast he has a new lease of

life to look forward to. lets hope he has a wonderful life when he reborn again.

i've juz watched the movie zodiac but i found tat the story has some short fall.

they showed the lining up but they didn't elaborate how the animals were

selected. eg. why mouse not the cat? why horse and not the zebra. there must

be a reason. i'll find out more.

enjoy ur stay...:goodluck:
