yup there's a run-in period that u gotta do. but ppl like paiseh last time first day collect bike only whack top speed liao also have. hee. not recommended though. :cheeky:

 

do ride safe both u and kazama ba, though ur license older than mine (mine only 1 yr +) but do ride slow at first and get use to the bike, should not be too difficult since CBR150R has a smooth engine and is gentle yet powerful enough at the same time.

remember to wipe dry the dipstick before u put it in to check the oil level woah, if not the reading not accurate le. :smile:

Yeap. Have to collect the number and stuffs then head over to buy the insurence. I think Bukit merah Has an NTUC outlet Already. Do call NTUC up to check the nearest location and then don't need go so far liao. Then would be able to do get the bike lor. What day u guys going to collect?

hey guys i managed to get onto my bike last night, haha, rode around a bit but still unable to ride comfortably. guess need some more time to recover further.

 

the feeling was great though, hearing the little engine getting to work cheerfully and getting to ride it. :smile:

yes the feeling is good but i am not back to riding ah, just try test test only. i still cannot really ride yet. anyway, congrats tt ur bike is in very good condition now. enjoy ur ride! :smile:

attached to our hand clutch lever mounting are 2 pieces of wire. any idea what the 2 wires are used for?

how come ur engine oil will leak wan? something loose?

Engine oil can be burnt off if the engine rings are worn. A tiny little bit seeps past on each stroke and gets burnt up in the combustion process. Bikes like this will show a bit of white smoke when revved hard a little like a 2-stroke bike. If your bike has high mileage and has not had an engine rebuild it's wise to check your levels regularly.

The other way you can lose engine oil is a blown head gasket and then the oil can seep into the coolant system. The way to check for this is to remove your radiator cap and look at the underside. If it has a milky brown kinda milo appearance then it's probably a sign of oil in the water. NOT GOOD!

Anyway, this kinda thing isn't so common on small single cyl bikes unless they've had a rebuild and it was done poorly.

The third way is leaks due to other engine gaskets. Once again this is normally due to some gasket issues after a full or partial engine rebuild.

Starting circuit for when the bike is in gear. If the clutch lever isn't pulled in then the starter won't kick in. Anyway, that's what it's normally for on bigger bikes. Can't recall the starter operation clearly on the 150 when in gear.

But this is only if the others wanna meet you at the GP Esso (1st rest stop after the customs/tollway in via Malaysia 2nd link) rather than stop at Jurong Pt. I guess the time would then be about 10pm if they set off from JP not long after 9:30

 

Anyway, let me know your thoughts before 5pm. Gotta go home and grab my passport and a white card.
