ITS ME AND MY BIKE DURING OUR RIDES

Nice copy...

Thanks for telling us, XGJAO150 was China made.

I was thinking, it was a mob Cbr150r all along.

Even a Cbr owner like me can't differentiate between the two.

The interesting aspect on your bike, is hybrid concept of putting a suzuki copied air cool engine into a honda Cbr frame. Right?

(Wondering why the Indian or Korean dont make a better copycat bike?)

On topping, Usd fork. This bike is made to sell...

On the surface, the similarity is too close to split apart. Its like a twin from different set of parents.

But under the fairing, they are world apart in engine design. (air cool vs liquid cool)

How both bikes were built or designed is history once its out of the factory.

Our passion is to enjoy the ride. Looks like you are having lots of fun eating up distances with your bike.

We may be world apart, but our passion to ride is similar all over the world la.

more details on ur bikes mileage... when the problem starts... example like after u over rev ur bike when u trying to chase an AMOI riding a 135 spark to attract her attention then ur bike starts to jerk after you notice itz not an AMOI but an AUNTIE wearing a tube and a miniskirt WOW!!!... LOL

Dear all, would like to hear yr opinion abt the current problem im facing with my cbr150 signal lights.

i recently re-routed my front signal wirings to a new pair of NSR SP signal lights, installed at the side fairings similar to that of the CBR150 replica our Filipino friends are riding. I converted my original front signal lights to function like pole lights instead.

After the re-wiring, the signals start to not-blink & remain lit up when switched on. This happened after im on the new 12v10w bulbs that came with the aftermarket signal lights. tinking that it may be due to wattage rating difference, i tried out the signals w/ my other spare T10 bulbs (also 12V but different wattage ratings). i tried out 3 types: W5W, 3W & 10W. All couldnt get the signal circuit to function normally.

My only solution is to re-use back the gd old pair of bulbs that were in the original front signal casings. As the orange transparent coating on these bulbs have somewhat fallen off overtime, i have no idea what rating they are. Vaguely remember they could be 10W. But the tricky part is that none of the newer 10W bulbs i have could get the signal circuit to function normally.

Im worried that once the existing bulbs blow, i cant get any suitable working replacement already. :help:

any comments/inputs pls?

:)

Hmm, that is worrisome man. Ok let's start with the simplest possible cause.

1) tyre pressure - do check that you are not underinflated

2) Carbs running rich - many ways to check. The simplest is to feel the exhaust air with your hands and smell it. It should not smell of petrol. (sounds weird I know, but it does work)

3) Check that your sprocket and chain is not too tight and not too slack.

There are other reasons that I can think of. But these are the easiest to rectify.

hmm. i think no. 1 and 3 isn't the problem.

i pumped my tires weekly and i dont think there's too much slack or tightness on my sprocket/ chain.

i still finding shop for no. 2.

haa.

don't really like my own shop.

Some monday's lemon bikes having a bit of gear problem is well known la.

As long as your 1st 2nd 3rd 5th and 6th gear are fine, you dont have to rush to the workshop to get it fixed.

On spore roads, mostly flat, i tried skipping 4th gear on my Cbr. I was amazed to find my Cbr happily riding along without much objection. Such gear tricks can only be perform to bike that comes with closed gear ratio and a wide usable power band. Fortunately Cbr's oversquare engine is rev crazy. If you rev your Cbr to 9k rpm on the 3rd gear, you are safe to hit the 6th gear on the next. Skipping 4th and 5th are no big deal. This is also a method to save on fuel consumption. Not too bad! Har?

Months later, you will find skipping Cbr's 4th gear is not that bad after all. It just add to another gear change on our flat roads. I have tried riding on 6th gear with 4k rpm to 10k rpm. This 6th gear alone can take you from 50kmh all the way to 130kmh.

The most important gear on the Cbr is 1st and 2nd on spore flat grid roads. You can't ride without it, to pull away from stop lights. The econ gear is 6th gear. Can't hit 40km/l without it. In the middle, 3rd gear is the bridge btw 1st and 6th. The 4th or 5th is the optional gear that you can ride your Cbr and forget it all together. That's my perspective.

Happy riding w/0 4th.

These two bikeshop are definitely reputable. What you might want to do also is to observe the mech tune the bike, and you can do it yourself after that. I personally favor Unique.

What I'm afraid of is if the problem isn't so simple.

For example, you might be leaking petrol. Do check for any rusty parts on your fuel tank. Rust = metal cancer = possible leaks.

Oh I also forgot to ask what is your idling setting?

Do post what the problem is once you found out. I would be interested to know what the issue is exactly.

Hmm, bad 4th gear? I think jerking is a common issue with the bike. But is it particularly noisy? And does it "bite"? If it is then I would say that you should start saving for an overhaul. No rush, but do be mentally prepared.

I always thought that the CBR150 is a tad oversquared... so acceleration is a little wanting as a result.

As for the gears, I am of the opinion, every gear is important. You might need 4th gear when you are riding into a corner and then you need your 5th to pull out of it. I tried turning into a corner at three and I was seriously over-revving the bike. And going in on 5th is just too high. Although we have a higher powerband, our power band isn't particularly wide. Do be careful.

Perhaps you can "make-do" but if issues can be taken care of, why not yeah? If it is not important, why would Honda put it in in the first place?

Personal opinion here... You may have your own.

Cbr is such a sweet bike, she can be ridden in whatever way you like.

From your description above, you are very skillful in sweeping her into corner the Rossi way.

One of the best corner is the exit of BKE to PIE heading jurong. With your riding talent, you sure to enjoy on the 4th and pullout wit 5th.

As for myself. I enjoy going into the same above corner wit 6th and gently twist it out on the same 6th.

I enjoy her “auto like” feature from Cbr's wide power band. Not many bikes in spore is capable of doing that corner at 6th without engine knock. I like her sweet and easy sweep out of the above corner.

No busy gear change in another way you can choose to ride your Cbr out of a beautiful sweeping corner.

Try it.. You will Love it...

Hi guys, i'm interest in change to a cbr150r but i have some questions

Whats the FC like?

Whats the thickest tires that can be mounted on?

How's the maintenance?

Any aftermarket parts? e.g better suspension, better brakes, nicer exhaust?

I'm riding a wave now. 50-65km/l and only F 80/90 and 90/80

Currently annoyed at having 4 gears only.

I looking for a safer/more stable bike.

The day i quit riding,

Is when those whom I love,

Cry every time I get on my motorcycle.

fc..i get about 39-46km/l

thickest tires not sure but bt39 90/80 and 110/70 works for me..

maintenance eo, sparkplugs? shud be about the same as wave i guess? =x

aftermarket..from what i know, yss, gazi suspension..brake lines are pretty standard, some cbr members did mod the master brake pump etc..exhaust can put remus, endurance pipe but no legal ones available atm

6 gears ftw! =x but actually i would like 7..

so far i think cbr pretty stable at 100, 110 km/h..just that the drift effect from crosswinds slightly more prominent than at 90 km/h

i rode pillion on my fren's wave..at that time passed alot of big trucks, feel abit naked/light, no offense =x
