guys, i juz realized ytd my radiator's resevoir is empty. recalling before i flushed my rad like 3 wks ago, it shouldnt b empty. so i top it up with water(full to the max). but then when i see it again jz now, the resevoir is almost dry again!!

is this normal??or my rad's leaking??but i dont see any water drip anytime frm my bike. thanks.

hahahaha, i guess that should be u lor cause I've not seen any CBR 150 bike at my MSCP, the whole stretch from one end to one end only me riding CBR 150.

haiz, juz realized that my rads leaking. and i also after a short ride, i realize that my front brake lever is covered with the brake fluid. i can see that the rubber thing beside the lever is leaking.any1 knw roughly how much will it cost to repair my brake n rad? do i have to juz change the brake lever or muz change whole set of master brake pump??

hi bro, that is your brake pump leaking your lever is fine..... if you do at JB maybe it will cost you less than RM 100 at AGL. if you do at singapore it will cost you like SGD50 for an oem brake pump kit.

Hi guys.... just to share my experience on my recent overhaul of my cbr 150r.

 

What i did....

-change of all bearings in my bike(engine,gear box, clutch,front and rear wheel) to FAG-Germany bearings

-change new conrod,conrod piston bearing,piston,piston rings

-New head lights

-New original air filter

-New engine oil

-New spark plug

-Full engine and transmission overhaul

-Service radiator

-New rubber bushing for rear wheel

-New clutch spring and plates

 

 

Cost

RM1800 = SGD743 (What i did in JB if i were to do in SG it would way exceed $1000???)

 

Shop

Hou Heng Motor Enterprise Sdn Bhd (Dont mind bringing the bros here to the shop on my next visit)

 

Time Spent

8hours in JB

bought new batt at regina. now engine start ok alrdy. but got another prob. now everytime when idling, sometimes engine stall. not only that,when i jerk the throttle, the engine will stall, then now have to really increase the throttle super slowly before moving on. any1 has any idea why/.

 

there can be different reasons why the battery is flat/low.

if it's purely because the battery is reaching end of lifespan, then fair and square.

but if it's because the charging system isn't working well, then this new battery is just going to end up dead sooner or later. i.e. what you've got is only a temporary fix.

so please make sure that the shop does the necessary checks on the charging system as well k.

 

IMHO, it seems a bit coincidental that the battery has to spoil along when you encountered the engine dying off issue.

and it seems that even after the new battery change, the engine dying issue is still not completely resolved.

leads me to question if the battery is the really the cause/part of the cause.

nice. didn't know that Hou Heng has got stocks available for that many parts for our bike.

some of the stuff like rubber bushing for rear wheel hub were not available like 2-3yrs back.

I think the engine keep on dying is because the rads leaking and its very hot. But now after i change batt, starting engine is definitely nt a prob. Still left with my leaking rad and brake pump.gonna ride slow to jb and get it done though.

Btw, my right fairing is not so sturdy alrdy, cause no more screw holdong it. Any idea whether i can juz repair the small part of the fairing or i hav to change the whole set? Thx!

guys, anyone have bought the front set (head fairing, top side fairing (both sides) & bottom fairing), basically the whole set for our front part fairings before ? roughly what's the price like & also go shop send for knocking (for the dent on my tank) or buy new tank, how much ? Please advice on the shop that avail for the knocking of tank. thanks !
