hey guys, any good places to change keyhole for my cbr150. seems like the keyhole is faulty, the key keeps coming out after i turn on the bike and i cant turn the key to the handle lock part.

hey guys, any good places to change keyhole for my cbr150. seems like the keyhole is faulty, the key keeps coming out after i turn on the bike and i cant turn the key to the handle lock part.

 

Can turn.... when you want to steering lock just jiggle the handlebars abit... but they key can come out means the hole not virgin already.... use padlock to lock your sprocket.

Hi, just got a CBR150 last month the bike should be around 7-8yrs old liao. Been fine riding it other than the chain was too loose. Got it tightened already. Any other important stuff that I should take note of?

the last time i brought my own clutch plates when doing clutch plate change at hou heng, i was charged a little more for bringing my own parts.

Just take care of the usual maintenance... engine oil every 1000km, check brake pads, chain sprocket, tires and the usual wear and tear...

 

 

When do i do a topup of coolant? and how much is the coolant cost? when to change the

coolant?

 

When the level fall below the "lower" mark

 

1L maxima about $25... can't rmb. Of course you don't need such a good one... $8 "honda" coolant from lim ah boy also can.

 

I flush the coolant once a year.

You fix MAXXIS or IRC china tires... then when you skidded that time and buang don't complain. I think its the cheapest at lim ah boy.

i would recommend 219 motorsport.. i had my seat done there. additional cushion @ pillion side and 2 type material at $60.. weet weet! but i'm super happy with the quality and workmanship! but i did at the shop not beside auntie but a little further down the road.

just curious. any1 know whats the maximum number of time a bike coe can be renewed??eg. like, can only renew 2x10yrs + 5yrs = 25yrs then must scrap, or can renew forever as long as renewed by 10yrs each time. thanks!

 

there is no cap to the number of times u can renew the COE for 10years each time.

but once u renew it for 5years, u will have to say bye bye to the vehicle at the end of that 5years.

 

there is an increase in amount of road tax u need to pay for vehicles that are >10years old.

this kind of dis-incentivise u to keep the vehicle for too long above 10yrs old.

changing the keyhole shouldnt be a difficult job w/ the right tools.

u have a choice of either only replacing the keyhole (new key for keyhole & old key for seat lock & fuel tank, i.e. 2 keys) or replacing the entire set of locks for all 3 areas (i.e. u only need to use new key).

go buy the stock tyres (2nd hand) from people who just got their new rides and wish to quickly change out to non-stock tyres.

i.e. the lower range of IRC

 

i also see a range of brands of tyres available in the market .

michelin, shinko, maxxis, etc.

 

i bought TT900 Thailand size 90/80-17 for use on my rear wheel for $50 including labor from LAB recently.

had to opt for this tyre as price for the regular BT39SS has gone up to $98/piece.

TT900GP was out of stock.

u can squat at the front or rear of the bike to peep at the thickness (side profile) of the brakepads.

if it's thin already, time to get the pads changed.
