Guys.. I jst came back from servicing and did alignment. I realise that the mech like down fork my bike cause i realise that the front is lowered down .. The mech also use iridium spark plug (i usually use regular spark plug) and this what happen when i riding home.

 

At CTE I see my temp gauge showing me the needle is at the last white bar before hitting the red bar. When I reach my carpark the heat is so strong that I can feel heat in between my legs. I touch the sides and fairring all damn hott.. Then i feel like switch on the bike back (jst on without starting the engine) then the fan radiator on. First time the fan on so this must mean its damn hot..

 

Kinda worry abt this cause this nvr happen even how hot the weather is. Can anyone xplain to me abt this ? anything to check or replace ?

- 2013 to Present - YAMAHA RXZ 135 (Azza)

one more question .. I have a situation, if let say my friend just went thru his inspection, renew rd tax and renew insurance and now he planning to change bike (same class, 2b but from Sportbike to naked bike). Can he transfer his insurance from his previous bike to the new bike ? if possible is there a fee or need to pay full amount like take new insurance.

technically, it is not possible to transfer insurance coverage from 1 vehicle to another

what happens is u need to terminate the coverage for 1 vehicle and then immediately purchase a new coverage (for at least 12mths) for another vehicle

if it is from bike to bike, then NCD can be transferred over

whether need to top up or can get a refund of insurance premium paid will depend on whether the new insurance is worth more or less than the amount of refund you can get from terminating the old insurance

did the mech do any other thing to your ride besides the alignment and changing of new spark plug?

did you managed to see the heat rating on the plug he change for u?

 

our stock spark plug rating for NGK brand is CR8E

not too sure for Denso brand

 

i would think that unless the mech installed a plug that is of a heat rating too different from original, it is kind of impossible for the new plug to heat up the engine that bad

Yea check your cooling system see if the water pump still working or not and have enough coolant in your radiator and reserve tank. If all else fails just change back to normal plug and see how first

I'll see how it goes today cause today kena report work at Jurong so I'll ride and see if the temp gonna shoot up again. If yes, then back to workshop to do some some checking. Hmmm

I only seen people riding it.... think its good if you want fuel saving low maintainence bike... just like the original older CBR

Lols ... anyway, heard of Project Motors before ?? need some reviews .. thought of sending my tank for knocking to them and respray back the whole bike .. price quoted online quite cheap but haven direct discuss yet .. haha, so need some reviews, thats all

hi, letter frm lta come alrdy for inspection. my road rax is due 1st june 2012. so whats next? shud i just go inspection myself? or shud i just ask bike shop to help me send for inspection? if i do myself, what would i need to bring to the inspection centre? and whts the process of renewing road tax?

Go yourself to any of the inspection centre... make sure your bike fairly stock condition, signals, lights, horns all working. Bring the inspection letter... pay the money... then go inspect.

 

Hint: If you want a really slack place to go with nobody... go to JIC inspection centre at AMK... been there for 3 years with all my bikes already... always nobody one...

1. hw much is the inspection and how long it takes(if lets say no queue)?

2. how long can the inspection result valid?

3. as in can i use the same inspection result to renew my tax ltr on around june?

4. in fact when should i renew my tax?

When its due they will send renewal letter to u 1 month before it expires. Don't worry about it. Govt collect money very fast and efficient one.

guys how much is the new 2012 cbr otr? it's slightly bigger in size compared to the old model?

 

8k plus wif 2k COE :) its an great Bike, feels steady when riding. And pick up is good and responsive.

Current mileage I have gotten was 1st pump- 36km/l (maybe I was gettimg a.hang of the Revs) 2nd pump- 44km/l
