My CBR finally died already... So i'm considering scrapping it. Does anyone need any spare parts? Fairing, head, CDI, rectifier?, coil? Battery? etc..? The only thing not in working condition is the engine and the carburettor.

wah. RIP~

not possible to revive and sell to someone who is keen to renew COE or smth?

See how la... if the cost too prohibitive i also lazy to go through the whole process of repairing and selling... but also worth it la... if i repair then the new owner will be getting a new carburetor jet kit and a fresh top overhaul...

My carb needle broke off and dropped into the combustion chamber.... killing the bike.

Make me an offer.

Sorry man, had a accident while my bike is stationed at carpark. No money to buy the rectifier from you already. Spent on repairing my rear brake.

I have no sense of direction, am a slow rider and always lost. >.<"

oh...thanks. I'll go and ask the insurance company. From my dad's point of view. He says that I can't claim cause there's no rider involve. But since you say can then I'll go ask. Haha. Would it be better if I just ask the owner to pay? But then again my instinct tells me he'll be pissed. >.

Hi all,

My gf and I are interested in CBR150. We are looking for an used one, that could last us for the next 4-5years.

Our budget is S$2500. Is there any recommended bike shop in Singapore?

We do have a small problem here.

We will be sharing and riding the bike, without our parents consent, of course without them knowing.

Therefore, we are looking for a solution that we can have the bike under our name, of course insurance included.

But end of the day, we just don't want to have any letter regarding the bike send to our place.

We do have 2 friends who are able to lend us their address if required.

Please advice.

Thanks.

Eh, I seldom see bike shop selling cbr150 for 2.5k. They most probably will fit it with new tires and stuff so that can sell together with the bike. But I'm pretty sure you can get it from other seller with 2.5k.

About the letter issue. Hmm...I think the insurance company will be sending a letter after you had purchased the insurance, to the address stated on your IC.

Another thing is the road tax, will also be sending letter to the owner with the LTA logo on the letter. X.x

So I'm not really sure if you can really hide. Unless these letters can be sent to your friend's place which I'm not sure is it possible.

I see. I will look out more from the seller online.

Actually, it is fine for letter without logo to be send to my place. However, I am not sure if mailing address can be different from the address stated in my IC for the paper work sake. I believed there are people like me who did this before. Thats why im asking for advice here.

Spark plug too old? Try change one and see how first...

Carburettor too rich with petrol... either wash carb and see how or else u might want to consider tuning it and/or rejet.

For the usage of bike, there wont be much fight as we stay super near to one another and we will sort it out ourselves.. I need to get through the paperwork and hope it last for the next few years before our own flat comes, then all problem solved.

Saw on youtube that some owners experienced what they call "helicopter sound".

Anyone facing any problems with their 2011 CBR150R PGM-FI?
