Welcome to all into my world.

Guys yesterday I experienced clutch slippages twice in a roll while accelerating at traffic lights and 4 times in three months when the bike is brand new. All shifting is done below 5K RPM. Question: is servicing or parts replacement required as I am left with 2 months of warranty with the importer of this bike or do it at my trusty mechanic when doing EO change. What price range are we looking at for overhaul and replacing of clutch plate.

Might just be that you need to set / adjust your clutch cable.

It is a common problem that gradually/smoothly happens over a period of time & one therefore doesn't realize something's wrong until clutch slippage occurs.

Have you found a solution thus far?

Hi guys, I just gotten my Honda CBR150R yesterday. A friend said I should join this forum to learn from veteran bikers like yourselves.

Cheers!

Congrats....got one last August 2014 and fully satisfied with the performance...

Anyone have any idea how to prevent exhaust from rusting (semi- or permanent & service-free way)?

Any DIY techniques or applications?

I'm not looking to paint the exhaust black.

Any idea how to treat the inside of exhaust for rust, as well?

I managed to get the fairing set and footrests... Others I think can go check at workshop...

I have some question: while riding, the engine misses beat quite often... sometimes completely shuts off before coming back to life after some time.... starting also got some problem... the carburetor was cleaned recently... battery is new... not sure where the problem lies? Any pointers are much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi Taurian

If you ever have any problems, go to your pdf service manual and navigate via the bookmarks / index section to the category relating to your problem (eg: for fuel system, click on engine -> fuel system & then on the manual's page itself [which you were referred to], click on the word 'troubleshooting').

Helped me to go from zero to pro :)

Yes, cancel out all of the small things that might be a probable cause to the problem, before looking into major time/cash consuming solutions.

Hi Matrix,

Thanks for your suggestion. I finally figured out the issue. It was the CDI. It was painful as didn't know where the problem was. Cleaned the tank, jet linings, carburetor, did top engine overhaul but still was having the issue. Now since the CDI change, the bike rides is as good as new. Hope this will be helpful for fellow riders. Ride Safe.

Hi Guys,

I'm a new rider only been riding my CBR 150R 07 model for slightly more then a month, today my bike won't start after i stop for a short run to buy supper after work :( but it miraculously start after awhile and i was able to get home else need to bus 11 home.

Once i reach my car park i stopped and cut the engine and attempt to start it again but it totally won't start at all this time, when i push the starter button there is no cranking sound from the starter motor.

I can see the Neutral indicator light become dimmer when i push the starter button, i tried with kickstand down & kickstand up both same results starter motor is not cranking.

Any Lao Jiao here can give me some advise please

Nvm guys, i manage to isolate the fault to the starter relay switch, i tried to take out the main fuse 20A but failed to do so and then tried to secure it back and when i attempt to start the bike for the last time before giving up, it STARTED!!!

I'll get it checked by a mechanic asap, would like to know if any bros here experienced similar issue symptoms before, thanks.
