ermm i'm not really sure of the whole procedure but do note ur engine oil change, use mineral oil if not use the cheaper types of engine oil for running in as it is thicker and supposedly better for the engine for running in purpose.

1k mileage change once, den change another time at 2.5k i think. after which can change to semi-synthetic or fully syn, depending on what u wan. personally i'm using semi with no complaints. other swear by fully-synth. perhaps u can try both then decide u wan to go by which one lor.

as for petrol, this bike can take RON92 onwards, meaning all types of gasoline u can find in SG can be used.

Congrats Rei.G~ You'll appreciate how economical on fuel and maintenance this bike is. *thumbsup*

Btw, do any of you guys decorate your bike? i.e decals etc. Most cbr150s i've seen on our roads are their stock colours with hardly any stickers or something. Quite a stark contrast to other 2b sportbikes.

Just an observation lol. Thinking of slapping some stickers on mine.

Current Rides:

All the best for your TP :)

As for 2nd hand cbrs, yup they're quite hard to find. I bought my 2nd hand cbr at ubi but that was the only one in the shop... Try searching at defu lane and changi area, I remembered looking at one at those areas.

cynidejunkie from what i know, it's always better to get a 2nd hand bike from people rather then shop as its cheaper and usually owner will be able to tell u more info on the bike n they tend not to gloss over the details. u can search around the forum, once in a while somebody will b selling. last wk somebody was selling it at 2.95k

hee hee, i highly recommend buy from private sales, like blurger had said, there's so much perks to doing it yourself, e.g. more infor about bike, cheaper, make new friends etc etc.

dun worry about warranty that shops usually offer, cuz most shops dun honour their warranties i feel, go back to them end up u have to pay for the repair.

anyway, CBR150R is small bike, repair also dun cost tt much de so no worries about getting it from private owners. :cheeky: :cheeky:

wow... thanks to all for the well wishes.. im going for some revision first before taking the tp...

i guess the guy on this forum is away now... if not i will be glad to take over the bike.. anyway, if i buy from private owners, is it still possible that i take a bike loan from shops and like kind of pay it off by installments? then hows the insurence thing gonna work?

im so sorry ppl... real noob here..

thanks in advance

i tink its quite hard to find bikeshops who are willing to do reloans for bikes not sold by them already

reason being it's not lucrative enough to them to make small loan amounts and earn puny amount of interest but run the risk of possible bad loans

for bikes which they sell, they can still earn a fair bit off the selling price (not taking reloan interest into account)

if possible, i would suggest u try to get interest-free loan from family members

here got a good deal i think. seems well taken care of. 1.9K only, think can consider woah. try not to have anything to do with shops ba.

need loan find friends or family members ba, interest might as well let friends or family earn than let shops earn.

glad u like ur new ride. after riding so many bikes, i still find CBR150R a rather well-balanced bike in terms of ride quality and practicality, just that the bike could do well with more power.
