yup, that big opening is where the oval air filter is. sorry2. it's not 2 tubes. is actually that big opening and one small tube. the mechanic ask if i want to put another air filter onto tt tube, cos wen he throttle, there's some air coming out from it. i just say "anyting la".. haha..

how abt this saturday afternoon?

:cheeky:

how fast/slow depend on whether if we meet w/ any difficulties along the way

if everything smooth smooth, i reckon 1 hr is more than enough

thanks Aman for the tip... will see if tuning will help rectify the problem.. anyway, what kinda plugs are u guys using??

im using the plugs recommended in the service manual

NGK CR8E

costed me RM$15 to get it changed at AGL thanks to the weird position the spark plug is located at

think the plug itself probably cost RM$5 but the labor is RM$10

Fad: wah...15cm on the stomach?! :giddy: rest well!

The blue colour air filter is connected to the carburettor, as Don had described as the "big opening".

Then the red colour air filter is the one connected to the small tube, which i tink is from the engine, mayb u can see it in the picture..

talking abt maintainance, anyone clean their carb or something wif the engine before? i had my bike wif me for almost 1 and a half years.. and i have nv serviced the engine.. budden now.. it seem to be acting up.. i can never push start (starter) the engine in one press.. gotta throttle a little more... and can even die off (cold) at the traffic light.. can any experts advice??

i cleaned my Carb before.. but wad i suggest to u is adjust the timing first. if still cannot.. then maybe u shld try cleaning ur carb. mine turned out to be very dirty, after cleaning it, my engine doesn't die so easily anymore, PLUS its much faster now. :cheeky:

woo...

great pictures

wonder whats the purpose of the tube running frm the engine case for...

crank case breather tube?

:cheeky:

anyway do be careful if u ride in heavy rain using such aftermarket filters

they look abit too exposed to me and like not too able to effectively filter out rainwater

monitor how the filter works out for u and keep us updated yah?

if it works well i can speculate that quite a few of us wont hesitate to change to yr kind of filters~ hahaz

in the meantime, enjoy the bassy sucking sound from the filters when u open yr throttle~

:cheer:

hmm, duno. but wenever i throttle, can feel a bit of air coming out from it..

oh, i know abt that. cos my fren's gilera's airfilter got soaked in the rain.. haha..

yesterday it rained heavily with strong winds, while my bike is parked in an open space carpark. i prayed so hard that my filters won't get soaked. wen i came down n check, everytin's fine

but then again, i think while stationary n while riding is different.. so i'll just wait for the day i have to ride in heavy rains and check if any problems arose.. btw, how to really check if rain entered my air filter? issit like my bike suddenly will hav no power? i dun tink can feel it, cos the blue filter, have a metal casing ard it..

haha.. yeah, im still loving the bassy sound coming from my bike.. :D will keep u guys updated once i rode in heavy rains :cheeky:
