Al-Azhar Eating Place : 11/11A Cheong Chin Nam Road

I've done a search on streetdirectory.com, link as below:

http://www.streetdirectory.com/routing/automobile_guide/automobile_4497u87m/MRT_Eunos_EW7_to_11_Cheong_Chin_Nam_Road_599736

1. Enter PIE and stay on it til exit 26a,

2. exit and go straight ahead towards Jln Jurong Kechil,

3. Go straight further and make a right turn into Upper Bukit Timah,

4. Go straight further and make a left turn into Chun Tin Rd,

5. Go straight further and make a right turn (this one rd name not stated)

6. Destination! Al-Azhar Eating Place

Hopefully its really that simple haha..

So, anyone in the east wanna meet up and go there together??

She just got a CBR 150RR FBB plate and erm how's the running in like? Well I tested her bike and I told her try not to go above 70-80km/h and RPM keep it below 5 for now.Engine oil change I'm not sure what to tell her, 1k change? or 1.5-2k? pls advise.

Thanks in advance :D

hmm.. i try and help if anyone think its wrong pls correct me..

my 1st run-in was at 1000km and during that time was told to observe rpm at most go til 6k (which is equivalent to ard 80km/hr)

then go for 1st servicing where they will change the engine oil

then 2nd run-in at 1500km. from 1001km - 1500km (to ur 2nd servicing) ur rpm is supposed to go max at 8k (equivalent to ard 100km/hr)

after that go for 2nd servicing..

this time they will change engine oil for u.. then check some things.. top up water of some "part" below our seat...

(what part i dunno, cos i dunno all the parts name yet.. still learning)

Hope that helps.. try to help as much as i can lah..

1st run in is about what I had in mind, thanks.

2nd run in, its so short? as in only till 1.5k? so only 2 run in processes for this bike? also I found the fuel tank when I'm gripping, its very hot. Hmm her temperature meter also rose up quite high. Read up info and this bike is "water cooled" so how you guys go about cooling the bike when riding?

thanks for your help ;) still feel like riding that bike again :cheeky:

when riding the temperature will not rise above 1\3 line usually, only during jams or multi-storey carparks then it'll hit higher than 1\2 up to even close to red line. since urs is a new bike, check ur coolant reservoir see if there's sufficient coolant inside first. hope this helps

i just changed a budget EO yesterday - Castrol Activ. bike feels smooth up to about 5 or 6k RPM, then it'll be kind of vibraty, find the oil very thick. my CBR seems so sluggish to accelerate. i'm sure the boys did realised that yesterday, i was always behind on the CBR. can't wait till i changed back to semi-synthetic or fully.

hmm ok, what kinda coolant you recommend? its just pour distilled water in? need to mix with any special stuffs? like for S4 they use those what ice thingy. anyway this bike not owned by me, by a lady friend so helping her check these out since she doesn't come online.also not sure if the FBB version same as those produced few years ago. for eg key ignition and other things.any suggestions where you guys put the IU? or remove it totally and use 12v battery externally? looks kinda ugly for the bike to be on left handle bar.

cheers!

go any bike shop or petrol kiosk to buy a bottle of coolant lor. very cheap de. not distilled water, unless the coolant u buy requires u to mix. just buy the premix ones for convenience sake.

the bike's engine is more all less than same as previous years, water cooled single cylinder 4 stroke carb bike, simple to maintain and run.

IU is entirely up to u to decide. most of us have it on the left handlebar or the fuel tank. only Limbat if i'm not mistaken doesn't have an IU. really depends if you go town or not isn't it?

I'll pass the msg to her, thanks. Quite satisfied riding cbr150, engine feels much stronger than a honda wave(unsure same engine or not) but the engine brake sure is strong like wave.Brakes wise, very good, front and rear disc. FC is heard to be 40km/L, actually I read you posting it so I was quite interested about this bike even more :cheeky:

IU wise, I actually told her to remove the ugly thing and put it under the seat with 12v batt.Don't know if it works but oh well.o_O

I'd give a few :thumb: up for this bike and maybe a few more if not for the fact its quite small sized for most grown man.

actually there is no need to use external battery is u wanna put it underseat. can easily route the wire to the compartment below the pillion seat. i read that the external battery uses up rather fast also. just my suggestions.
