Is it true that we can oni rev to 5k rpm then must chg gear?!?

 

Because.. if u really chg at 5k rpm, i think theres still not enough power to engage the next higher gear.. and in this case, it will most likely results in the situation "Fad" brought up earlier:

E.g. from gear 5 drop down to gear 4

 

Also, another thing is.. if u notice, usually at 5k rpm, the "sound" is still very soft.. (I dunno how to put it, hope u all understand what im trying to say)

 

Anyone have any other comments?

 

rev ur engine to high rpm means u drag gear, if drag gear can drag to max 5000rpm when changing gear, if over 5000rpm for a few years, ur gearbox need to overhaul.

engine will not spoilt from high reving, only waste abit more petrol only, sometimes i also rev to 5000rpm.

 

btw no offences, cos some of u also got ur opinion, lets share

Hey guys!! my bulb 1 side also blow liao ytd!! :cry:

 

I happily wan to show off my white lights to my friend.. scully he ask me: "Eh? u changed 1 side oni ah?"

:faint:

 

I took out the bulb and see.. inside there's 2 filaments.. but 1 broke liao..

 

*Oh yea.. it lasted to the 10th day!!

haha.. changed on the 17th mah.. blow on the 26th

Ok! here it is guys.. for those bros out there whos eager to find out about my rims stickers..

 

Wan, i wouldn't say its very tedious lah.. just that u need to be very patient and paste it slowly..

cos.. if u go and take a look at ur rims, theres actually like a bend or something..

so when u paste it over, u have to make sure theres no space at the bend.. if not, will have like "bubbles"

(dunno if u get what i mean)

 

And, this stickers actually took me 1.5hrs to paste..

 

overall, my pasting isn't that spectacular lah.. still can see "bubbles" here and there.. BUT i still think its very nice!!! :cheeky: :cheeky:

ur 5k refer to our bike not.. our bike only easy to change gear at 6-7k rpm.. as for 8k rpm under gear 5 n below then is consider rev more i suppose.. cos to get 110 speed at gear 6 = 8k rpm..

how high does ur high refers to? changing EO regularly ensures optimal lubrication for the moving parts lor. so-called lesser wear and tear to ur engine. :smile:

when the engine is chui, guess the most obvious will be loss of power. worst case piston jam? unlikely to happen on 4-strokers i think. :smile:

 

Hey people, i need advice on something

 

I always like to rev my engine to high RPMs and this is not good for the engine right?

 

So does changing engine oil on a monthly basis reduces the risk of spoilt engine and etc?

 

Also, how to know if the engine jia lat liao?

i dun feel 5k rpm is high actually, CBR150R i feel is a naturally high-rev bike so naturally to change gears at higher RPM. for me, i usually change at 5k to 6k rpm for 1st to 4th gear. 5th i will go up to 7k sometimes if upslope + pillion. 6th gear we won't say cuz it's confirm high rev. even like this i managed to get 42km\L consistently. :smile:

 

once i got 44km\L before but that was without dragging 1st to 5th gears, max 7.5k rpm cuz tt's my normal highway speed of 100kph. :cheers:

Huat ah!! urs also blow liao le. heard from limbat some of u guys didn't keep ur old stock bulbs ah? like that become one-eyed jack liao.

 

i still have 1 brand-new honda stock bulb if u guys wan to change can find me at west side but it's not cheap lah, 9 or 10 bucks i think compared to the 30W or 50W no brand bulb. :faint:

 

earlier this year i put 1 side stock bulb, 1 side aftermarket bulb, a few wks ago the aftermarket one blow liao le, the stock one still gg strong. :smile:

any idea where the mech fixed the relay for the dual horns?

 

i did a rewire for my horns as i found that the long wires i used previously result in too weak electric current to power the dual horns even when the bike engine is running.

 

ended up i positioned both horns on the right side of the bike (instead of 1 left 1 right as show in yr pic). did try out the 1 left 1 right combination but found that the combined sound produced by the high & low tone horns isnt as nice. maybe if we have any outing coming we can meet and try out the horns.

anyway, the horns wont melt as long as it is not in direct contact w/ hot metal engine casing.

 

it is best if u can stick to using fuses of similar rating to standard fuses, especially if u r thinking of using fuse of lower rating i.e. 15A to replace 20A fuse.

 

Bro, no idea where he put the relay. Sorry ah i dumb la. lol. Yeah call for outing call for outing.

Wankidal...OTR abt 4K....nvm laa pump in singapore can already laa..hahaha..cheap cheap only...the only thing my bike low beam n rear brake light not working...want to go fix it but got no time laa fren..

 

Same here my rear brake light not working. I don't care. As long as can brake ok already.

After a few years need to overhaul eh? ok no problem. after a few years should be ok as long as not after a few months :)

Oh my riding style like this:

 

Peace (when no rush or nothing) - change gear at rpm 5.5. top 80/90 km/h.

 

Normal - change gear at rpm 6. top 110/120 km/h.

 

When in a rush - change gear at rpm 9 and above. no top speed. whack all the way.

 

Anyway overhaul gear box how much? That one to change clutch plate also ah?

 

And if there is loss of power how to increase it back?

huh u all so gd then i think i a high rev person average rpm for meis 7-8 that my normal riding cos the lower rpm the bike no power leh

no leh all of us keep our stock bulb and i feel uncle lim do things have his point there he get us to diy and we learn now bulb blow liao we koe how to fix haha thanks uncle lim ozZAR now u will see more yellow and white light combination

hi guys that time u all talk about changing the grip for the bike right i change mine liao the brand is gpr for only 8dollar plus installation they cut a hole to put in the balancer for me but for the mechhe cut for me until very nice leh

Lucky all of U tried to DIY - now pls go to my office & my CFO will change the Spoilt bulb - 1 for 1 exchange. I need the spoilt Halogen to check wat is wrong... Sorry again for the trouble....

with the quality of the bulb is really very bright i and lazy1000 try on 2nd link that day is bright enough to see the whole road
