1st of all thx everyone for ur concern really..

now im resting at home, hand on a sling.. right collar bone fractured..

i was wearing bermudas and slippers on that very night..

but surprisingly, scratches weren't that many leh..

only a bit on the right knee and my left foot (inner)

but theres scratches on my right shoulder and right hand lor.. hands more than my leg..

As for my bike, the bike shop accessed my bike damages, they quoted me now repair cost ard $1.4k :faint: :faint:

they tell me 1 whole list of things thats damaged.. its ard 17items and out of this 17, some are those X2 one..

and a lot of these items i dunno what are they.. so i dun really know does it really cost that much or not..

and my bike is under 2nd party, so i cun make any claims to repair my bike..

have to fork out myself..

now really financial issues liao sia.. maybe not enough to repair my bike must leave it 1st repair in the next 2 months.. unless the bike shop let me pay in instalment or something..

and regarding the private settlement, the other day when we go A&E, i paid for the other guy, and also ytd i went to his house for him to sign an agreement and paid him $600.

Heres what happened the other day lah...

I wanted to turn right on a T-junction and he was coming straight.. but he kept to the left of his lane and i thought he was to make a left turn into the slip road (poor judgement). so i proceed on, but then realise he was actually not turning but was too late lor.. then tio..

my friend see liao he actually told me.. if we fight this case, its more of a i 60% he 40% fault.. cos he say true i proceeded and knock into him but he also should see me and do E-brake.

my friend did access his bike and suggested i pay him 500, or at most 600 max. medical and the rest all we dun cover becos i also kenna my bike very jialat and my own injuries lah..

but after going to the doc, i see his forearm also fractured, so i also felt sorry for him and i paid his A&E bill lor..

thats the whole thing..

Now, my main concern is my bike and my medical bills oni.. haiz.. really broke liao..

Bro, for your bike i would suggest that you do bit by bit lor unless you are able to afford it.

Anyway rest well. Take care.

i managed to ride out for checkup on monday. doctor says for bones to heal need at least 4 weeks, so i still got more rest to get. i have already changed my front tire to BT039 90/80 for $90 at Lee Huat. i know a bit ex, but i also got them to adjust and check everything else. i know my front mudguard bent and broken, and my forks alignment slightly off. other than that, bike is ride-able. i will need to get petrol soon, but a bit scared to go JB right now.

Bro, you got the pump to pump water out of fish tank? hope you know what i am talking about cause if you scared to go, i can pump my tank full then give you half. I know it sounds weird but I now very frequent visitor of JB. So i dun mind.

I foresee that my passport will finish by June 2008 :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

confirm!! kind of weird hor, a collision at 50kph kena so many things!! seems like the front part of the bike got it quite hard :faint: lazy, any idea wat speed the other biker was at?

Somehow, i strongly feel the other party is not travelling not according to speed limit.

I can't imagine collision at 50 km/h will have that type of impact.

Well, whats done is done hope the best for Lazy1000.

no wonder the repair bill is so high, u kena almost all the expensive stuff.

hope the motordiam wont chop u cause personally i find the story abt the missing taillight and fairing a bit fishy. :giddy:

Fairing missing is the most fishy part lor. If broken still can understand.

As for the taillight could be stolen. I've seen other bike models using our taillight as replacement.

But still very weird. And tailight is like very ex lor.

Not sure what speed the other bike was travelling at leh.. Only know my own speed..

My friend will be going down with me this saturday to the bike shop. He know such stuffs much better so can help me out. Until then, I won't be able to confirm the exact repair costs.

The fairing and the tail light was left beside the bike and when they collect, they say it wasn't there. Those bits and pieces on the road were cleared. What I'm scared is that it's cleaner that clear them as well but no way to confirm.

lazy1000, maybe parts wise like fairing and taillight you might want to consider doing it later on your own or with other cbr riders guide. Fix the fork and rim first since its the most technical part. the rest shld b easy to diy later on when u r better. anyway u won't be able to ride so soon.. just fix the bike enough to move out of the bike shop first. then as u recover, ur bike can slowly recover along with u =)

fish tank pump? ever thought of using that to transfer JB fuel to my sister's boyfriend's vara125. super big tank. quite a cool idea now that i know people ever use it.

i don't mind riding in to JB with you the next round, but only dare to go 2nd link, no rain. and please, no super fast speeds. i'm not using my rear breaks. =P

my front headlight fairing crack one big line and one big black mark, right side fairing side scratches, front mud-guard almost cracked through. i'm just going to try and salvage with spray paint. maybe will research some putty or epoxy. oh, and fuel tank one small dent.

Zhengyuan, hope u are feeling better. :)

Well my advice is not to worry so much about the repairs for now, take care of your health more important. Take the time to watch DVDs at home etc hahah. Cos the more u think about repair costs and such, the more stress u will get.

Wish u a speedy recovery man... :thumb:

really thank you guys for ur concern.. i really appreciate it..

my bike i will just have to wait til this sat when my friend goes down with me then see how it goes lor..

if the shop let me pay by instalment i guess i will just fix up everything lor. if not, next time i must fork out a sum of money still.. if they dun allow then i will just have to ask them to fix the minimal til the bike is in ride-able condition..

just curious, has anyone worked out the cost difference of going through 1st and 2nd link? there's toll RM$1.30x2 + SGD$0.60x2= SGD$2.40. that's roughly the cost of 2-3L of petrol. also, the distance to go in and out consumes maybe 2L. total that's almost half the CBR150 tank! isin't it more efficient to use 1st link?

i calculated before, for my case, i stay in NTU, to go 1st link i'll travel 41-42km in total, if i go 2nd link it'll be 48km. add in the cost for the the toll, it's definitely more expensive. however, i go 2nd link more often cuz i'll give up the $2.40 and 8km savings for a peace of mind. do away with the jams and pot-holed roads and higher chance of crime. so for me it's $2.70 more expensive for every 15 litres of petrol i pumped.

for the way to go jb is not to calculate by money if i stay ntu i sure love to go by 2 link if i ride big bike never go 1st link cos big bike dont like hump 1st limk hump is big and countless as for 2nd link long long must go once at least once a month can clear bit of carbon even we r 4 stoke bike also sure got carbon also but not as much as 2 stoke lah stay jurong go 2nd link also save lots of time (time = money)

this is only my thinking loh

Wah lao critisize my 1st link until like that. lol. don't want to friend you la. :cheeky:

My view is that i'm riding small bike, 2nd link take ages to go and reach home. Once in a while when going in with a group or something i don't mind but 2nd link become 2nd home? no no. lol. first link = 2nd home. hahaz.

The toll thingy doesn't really matter as its quite worth paying money for good roads. Crime, i'm not sure. Somehow i feel 2nd link has more tendency to get robbed, rape and etc as the place is super quiet. Added to that, help is so far away. Well, in first link help might be near but it won't come to you. :cheeky: :cheeky:
