yr rear sprocket jerky liao ah? else how u knw when the rubber is due for replacement? i had previous experience of the motorshop in JB dont have the rubber available when i went to change chain + sprocket previously. then i realised there is such a thing inside the wheel hub.

 

i not so pro until can fix up the rear wheel hub rubber myself leh.

im getting the mech to fix up for me when i go to JB or whichever motorshop to replace my chain + sprocket set.

 

but i agar know the steps. u wanna experiment??

anyway i saw the 1st Malaysia registered CBR150 yesterday. JKS plate. color scheme seems to be similar to the new CBR150s we see (e.g. lazy1000's bike) but the shade of blue is dark/purplish blue.

Dunno about this one Derrick. Weight looks a bit much for a 125CC bike. 140 kg is same as CBF150 and top speed spec is also same (65 Mph = 90-100 km/h). Then only 5 speed gearbox.... Fairing looks nice indeed, closer to new CBR125...

 

If can fit the digital display it might be nice...

 

BTW, I checked and Kymco is not Korean but Taiwanese...seems however that fairing of this bike could be transferred to CBR150

from what Derrick researched the other time, there is no 'legal' pipe for CBR150.

 

reading http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171698, you will learn that you can use any exhaust pipe you want on your bike, but getting the approval for paperwork is tedious. i would think that there are many aftermarket exhaust selling in Singapore which can be fitted on our bike, but these do not have the paperwork to be used on CBR150s

 

the reason, i believe, is that the CBR150 market for exhaust systems is small, therefore the profit margin for shop owners to go through all the hassle to get it approved and only sell 1 a month not worth it.

 

if i could find a cheap 2nd hand exhaust system from Thailand, i'd bring it back and try getting it approved. less of failing due to exhaust emissions or sound level, i don't think they can don't approve us if we just follow what they asked for.

 

after all, we just follow law!

eh..i dint buy the sprocket and chain

i got my current set of sprocket + chain for ard RM$95 if i dint remember wrongly.

lasted me ard 25,000KM so far. suspect it can last till 30,000KM before due for change.

 

the rubber thing is to secured the rear sprocket with the rear wheel hub & rim. i guess most shops dont really stock up on this rubber thingy for our bike. so it will be good if u spend $10 to get it standby just in case.

u still need to add the cost of a new ERP IU unit into the prices they quote cause they dont usually add it in.

the IU used to cost abt $150. not sure if it had joined the price increment trend now though.
