for those going to DIY Stebel TM Magnum horns, please note that both horns can only fit on the right side.

i spent 4 hours trying to fit one on the left, can't get a good configuration. wasted my time, and now my back hurts.

right side can use the screws (size 8) for the coolant pump

left side, not much of choices. can try 1 of the 2 screws for the tensioner (size 8 or 10. forgot.)

but the problem w/ mounting the horns 1 side each is that it doesnt achieve a nice tone.

The horn got no brand. Measured about 10cm in diameter. Did a horn loudness check with Zed. Us blasting away near an empty open field (it was fun). It was louder than stock but duller. Its noted that with two horn the loudness will be much enhanced. So, solution is, still struble horn pair is louder.

the Stebel Magnum comes as a pair. 1 plays the higher octave, while the other does the lower. on it's own, the high or low octave horn is slightly louder than stock, but it is together that a wider octave is achieved and you get the 'ommph'.

after constant horning from Wandi and Derrick, and my own DIY session on sunday, Ben's horn is nowhere near that of the Stebel. my believe is that what he got is basically a car's stock horn; a larger sized CBR150 horn that's only slightly louder.

i just can find any position that will fit to close the fairing. without fairing, most positions are ok.

i'm not sure if you're also using the Stebel Magnum, but they're quite thick. i didn't hear much of a difference when i had them installed one on each side.

in the end i gave up putting the horns, cos i couldn't get them to fit and face the front with fairings on. i later learned from seeing Derrick's setup that it has to be both on the right side using pump screws, but facing down. also, it's super close to the exhaust. i'm surprised it didn't melt.

No worries Bro.

yup, im using stebel magnum 2.

i suppose the newer batches come w/ brackets of slightly different length as compared to mine.

need to do some trimming around the edges of the bracket using wire cutter/plier before u can fit them to the coolant pump area.

show u how i mount mine next time~

tink agar can see where the horns are from my avatar pic.
