I'd vote for Planet @ Ubi industrial area, although the price is higher by a little bit.

But the lao jiao mechanic is honest and knows what's wrong with the bike :thumb:

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Personally, i think xenon is a gas used in Halogens bulbs to produce higher lumen. So there is no diff, unless u r comparing halogen using other type of gases.

I have seen a H4H but not a H4A, but i think itis a common H4 but using a different base type.

this short clip talks abt xenon vs normal halogen bulbs

if what it claims is true, i tink im going to get one (provided it doesnt cost too much). :p

imagine a bulb that lasts as long as the vehicle life. incredible!

i go to Lee Huat. they are ex, but their mech are the old school type, got experience.

i only go there to change EO and plug. i pay a bit more for 'membership' so at least i got emergency they will recognize me when i go. just like that time i tried to DIY EO change and i turned the nut the wrong way, they helped me to send the bike for rethreading.

lee huat is the shop along old keat hong camp there?

or izit the one along upper bkt timah road?

im planning to drop my bike at Planet next Mon morning for the timing chain replacement + inner check.

But i maybe wrong & it maybe a new technology - i will try to find out more but i really dun think so - herad of this Xenon system long ago ...... :slapforehead:

hey bro, since u stay at CCK..why not try at Eng Seng..near the kopitiam/old keat hong camp down there and its near our home too. :) Even though, the price abit expensive, I don't mind paying more for his good workmanship.

today i went to HKL at bt merah. thought of going there to look look see see cos its so near my school in queenstown.

in the end, spent abt 4 hrs there.

cos the mech (a nice uncle called ah beng) said..

- tyres: the lousy cheap kind

- clutch: something called the "jin ya quan" is loose and not working well

these might be some factors that cause my vibration problems. so..

- changed to Harri's grips. **$29**

- added 2 balancers (i think prev owner take out. cos last time my FY bike have wan lor) **$20**

- changed whole new clutch set **$30*

- changed BT39 tyres **$160**

- changed new meter bulbs (3 for $5)

i spent $235 today. -nose bleeds cos no more allowance left liao-

i walked out of there quite upset. Uncle Beng told me the exhaust has been 'tong' before, that's why got loud noise and possibly cause the vibration too. I didn't even realise or notice that its 'tong'. Super sad lah.. i like to leave parts as it is -- stock. i only wanna change some external parts, but i guess i got more than I bargained for. He told me that to 'tong', means to make a hole somewhere in there. I felt like my heart had a hole in it after hearing that.. sob..

overall conclusion? yes my vibration is noticeably lesser, esp at neutral gear. Dunno abt higher speeds (I scared of speed remember?). and tyres still need a few more days of running in.

BUT.. meter still quite dim.. -.-"

will just bear with it till u guys going down to uncle lim's shop again. maybe change to a diff colour T10 bulbs for meters.

anyone know how to reduce engine noise?

the bulb socket can only fit T10 sized bulbs/LEDs connectors.

i did play ard with the idea of fitting 6SMT LEDs sold by bro m400 in the PMO thread.

but seems like a bit too hurting for my pocket.

alternatively, u can try using colored bulbs that come in T10 sizes.

the stock ones are 1.7W.

there are other similar sized bulbs with wattage ratings like 3W, 5W and even 2CP.

duno wat does CP stand for though.

currently using orange colored T10 2CP bulbs for my meter.

they make the orange numbering show out stronger against the white meter background.

:btw: my speedo is the older version design.

bros and sis here riding the newer model of CBR150 (with yellow numbering versus black background) probably can't achieve the same effect using orange bulbs.

thanks bro. much appreciated on ur detailed info. so the higher-than-stock wattage, will it hurt our bike in anyway? even 3W is double that of stock (1.7W) leh.. will burn or melt anything not?

uncle lim got sell these kind of bulbs?

after market exhaust, different carb and CDI. i think these 3 things would have increased the BHP. unfortunately CDI is the only thing which we can 'legally' change here in SG.

legally because there is no black and white law stating it yet, but i'm sure if they want to fine you for it, you can't run also.

Just a word of caution, if you modify your bike for the purposes of racing or in other words to make it run faster la, in an event of an accident, Traffic, if they see a need, have the authority tow your vehicle into their compound to assess if its modified. If it is, then even if you are right, you may be penalised. This will mean that you may not be able to win an insurance claim.

i limit myself to no more than $200 per month for bike expenses. that would have blown my entire month's an a little more. can't even pump petrol.

what's your idling RPM?

as emphasized, if they want you to be in the wrong, there is no way to run.

unless you got money to hire a lawyer more expensive then theirs.
