i think you get what i'm trying to say and i agree with you, Derrick.

if you are malaysian and working in malaysia, petrol price will be a real hit for you.

the income tax system in singapore is made it in such a way that the poor people don't need to be tax, whereas the rich get tax up to a maximum of 20% if i remembered correctly.

actually the income taxes in europe, it's much much higher than what average singaporeans are paying.

in europe, you can pay up to a maximum 50% income tax, excluding the GST that is imposed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_rates_of_Europe

also we have to put in the fact that singapore is small from north to south or east to west it's no more than 30++ KMs.

and in the europe, their average distance might be in 100++ KMs due to their large geographic massive of land area, thus i think petrol price will be more of a hit for them rather than us fellow singaporeans.

even if petrol does hit $4 a litre in singapore in time to come, it's still manageable as compared to other countries.

singapore is quite a fine country afterall.

Regards,

kifakw

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Well, lets put it this way.. In Singapore indeed, my highest tax bracket was like 20% whereas in the Netherlands, thats where we start. We also work with tax brackets like sgp but we start at 23% and highest is 52%. Sometimes getting a raise can actually cost u money :slapforehead:
