remove the side + bottom fairings. wipe clean yr engine crank case (both sides and bottom) then u proceed for a ride. if there is a leak, shouldnt be too difficult to spot oily spots bah.

 

alternatively, to confirm it is not an overflow situation, i guess u juz need to trace the overflow hose frm engine crankcase. it is somewhere near to bundle of other hoses at the bottom centre of our bike. if u were to peep under the right footrest u will see them. cable tie a puny plastic bag or piece of cloth to the end of the correct hose and take yr bike for a ride.

hey cbr bros... i have a question to ask

sometimes do you guys feel that the cbr looks abit out of sort ( no offenece here, pardon me (: ) ?

i was wondering, if i were to get a cbr, issit possible to remove the 2 mirror ( as i felt it was rather lengthy ) and replace with, let say a sp/kr mirror which seems shorter and close to the head of the bike.

 

with regard to mirror:

1) pull the mirror in all the way.

2) tilt the mirror upwards.

confirm become smaller than SP or KR.

 

but cannot promise see very far.

else square eyes arh? sell your bike buy KR la. no point modding the CBR.

yea bro thanks for the much advice and enlightenment, appreciate it very much. I like a kr very very much. And i mean really like it.

 

But i fear for the monthly expenses. Thus im looking for a 4 str bike and i just cant see myself on a cubs or likewise (sounds fussy, yes i know and im sorry )

Perfection-wise im willing to give and take. I just dun wan the bike to be unstable after modding as life is at stake. So i have ask around and okay, mirror issue solve. As for headlights, how do i go about gettin it legally?

And lastly bro, regrads to the side fairing, take out or leave it there? the whole bike can be respray to a single color right?

if not, cost of maintaining a KR versus CBR150 shouldnt differ much more than $50/mth. i.e. 2T, higher petrol consumption.

 

if u do ride the bike hard enough, u can spare yrself the agony of having to send the bike for regular top servicing too frequently.

 

the problem with slow riders like me is that a 2stroke engine accumulates way too much carbon and the valves get underutilised that they get jammed. as as result, i get piston covered w/ way too much carbon that i need to change new piston + clean the valves everytime i go for top servicing.

I think its NSR 150 RR, not SP, cos of the swing arm. It may also be NSR 125.

wah don, u got ride before 2t bikes ar.. got so jialat meh need to chg piston!

 

anyway KR is a fine bike la... If you ride normally e-way, most of the time KRR i think sets you back about 60 bucks petrol only. maybe 1 bottle of 2T every month. max out only 70 bucks?

 

though it is abit more ex, but having a bike u like more shiok ma what, better than getting something that u dread then mod it to the max and get near peanuts when coming to resale.

 

i end up getting a 4t cos i think, 2t later jam, hong kan, some more sometime i'm a throttle happy person.. so.. i think if i buy KRR i'll die faster. LOL

i spent a day looking for bike shops. CBR goodies are not as easily found as we think it would be.
