i vaguely recall u were looking for cbr150 together w/ me quite sometime back right? later on u settled for a cub (or was it the sonic u were selling) then u disappeared.

 

anyway, my damage for the servicing was $450.

sometime that i tink a bike w/ 92,000km mileage cannot avoid.

Any of you guys had issues with the electric starter? I'm afraid that the electric starter would fail and the lack of kick start just adds on to the downside.

 

i worry abt the starter also.

my previous rides were all kickstart ones.

i tink so far no one has got issues w/ the electric starter motor except for one of them who replaced worned out carbon brushes.

 

Wash carb izzit necessary ? Any price list for all those items??

frm the list of bikes u owned before, think u should be quite experienced already mah~ maintenance is similar to sonic if u compare stock versus stock bike.

 

my 2cents is that carb dont really get too much of dirt in it if u stick to stock air filter + use clean fuel.

hi all,i just recently bought a used cbr 150 FU plate...from a workshop.

i think got some problem with the bike ah...

in the morning,the engine will make sound like tek,tek,tek like that...and sometime even after a 20 mins journey....any idea why?

furthermore,how much to get new coolant and exhaust pipe w/o the end can?

any help is appreciated..thanx and happy chinese new year all

how is the mileage for the bike like? seems quite high possibility u need to change a new tensioner. if new tensioner helps only to limited extend, then u probably need to have the cam chain checked as well. tensioner is only abt $20 - $30 while a new cam chain can damage ard $450 as per what i paid, due to the high amt of labor required.

 

collectees is helping with a mass order of end can for our bike. u can try checking w/ him to c if u can still add in yr order?

 

ready-mixed coolant frm Shell (just need to topup/flush out then replace) cost smth like $7/litre. we need ard 1litre +/- abit depending on how much of the old coolant u flushed out.

if u can find any NSR150SP riders letting go of their rack, u can buy frm them too as our bike uses the same rack + mounting brackets as them.

Dear bros, I just lost my CBR 150 on 27 Jan (1st day of new year) from the carpark at my house in Bedok North. I hope u all can keep a lookout for my beloved bike. The plate number is FW9082L. Itz the stock silver black colour. Thx ppl! Here's a pic of my bike...

i always see the pillion sitting on class 2 bikes lean forward to hug/cling on the rider until shiok shiok one~

u put one rear box on the r6 la~

then she no need to squeeze/cling so tightly w/ u

personally feel that it is more comfortable to pillion on bikes w/ flat seats like sonic, cubs, etc. but my gf prefers a raised pillion seat on sportbikes that offers a peek at what's in front + fuel tank to push against in event of hard braking. hence, i got rid of my previous cub to get a sportcub

what i paid for $450 wasnt a full overhaul.

i would tink probably a half ovehaul?

cause i had the cam chain, tensioner, some plastic piece the tensioner presses on & piston replaced alongside w/ the various gaskets & seals, etc.

 

i tink quite a lot of cbr150 riders (esp those who use it to travel to & fro customs everyday) probably dont spend much of effort to maintain their bikes. gd enough if they even perform normal servicing, not to say to overhaul the bike.

 

to empty all the coolant, i remember a bro here mentioned draining out the coolant via a screw underneath the coolant pump.

 

for myself, i merely pluck out the coolant hose under the radiator and drain out whatever is inside the radiator before topping up again via the radiator cap. wasn't proficient enough + unaware where to locate the coolant drain nut.
