maybe is coz his bike got alarm ...u got try disconnect ur alarm and ride... see got this problem ma....

 

oh yes stanley might be right.... i remember reading other threads and one fellow forumer was saying that what if ur alarm went off in the middle of the night and u cant hear.... in the end its gonna ring and ring and ring until battery dies.

 

remember, ours is 12V only not like cars.

Erh... Let me warn ZR first. Im not really sure how to replace our bike's plug. Labour 2or3 bucks only + 1 year change 2 times the most + too complicated makes me no mood to know. LOL

 

u need a Spark Plug Wrench to take out the spark plug

Our stock should be CR8E for NGK plug. No K, no GP, no nothing. :angel:

 

 

 

 

Just to make it clear, in my case when I changed to GP, my problem solved immediately. But after a day, the problem came back. Then I changed to CR8EK until now no problem. So, this might be the same problem u r facing Zong Ren.

 

Where do u stay exactly? I hve CR8EK unused, if u know how to change the plug urself, u can come to my place & give it a try. Anyway, Im going to switch back to Denso Iridium.

 

For the choke part, I think what Don meant is that, eventhough u didnt pull up the choke, but due to the choke cable problem, it might had been pulled up by itself. Hope u understand me. :)

 

Not that I dont trust JB mechanic, but after tuning problem solved & come back immediately, the carb can be the real problem. Who knows human error while tuning or installing back. Sg mechanic also sure make careless mistake 1.

 

The problem with what u r doing is that, u did so many things at the same time. So u not sure, which 1 solve ur real problem, which lead u to this situation. Just my 2 cents. Dont get offended pls.

 

Im not expert, but I believe the problem lies in either plug or carb.

 

 

Btw, just a gentle remimder guys. Went to IU inspection just now. So I asked the guy whether our Mustafa horn legal or illegal. He said, inspection staffs will let u go, but NOT TP. So I asked him again, that means this horn is illegal? He answered, "u guess?"

 

 

okok I would like to make it official. that my bike is now fine... and guess whats the problem.. It is a very simple problem that i have told zed, and it hit the nail and it is that problem.

 

i spend like.. 3.7 X 3 + $5. to solve it

 

and hell lots of time exploring mybike :) and realised the hua chin mech took back the wrong screw to screw in my seat. and i hate that. :(

 

ooh. when i went for inspection, no one said anything to me. lol..

 

same no one say anything leh but i like his horn V good.

disconnected. nothing wrong. thats why i didnt wire up remote start. i know this will F the CDI up. so i only bypassed the iginition only.

 

NGK & Denso come out with hell lot of series that surely will confuse the end users. LOL

yea i agree. my plugs when i took out is CR8Ea i think. made in indonesia cheap plugs. cost me $5 only.

acty our plugs is quite ez to remove. i sort of know how liao and using the tool kit that came with the bike we can tear down the whole bike.

Problem Faced

 

bike cough cough die. Most told me coil, electrics and plugs.

 

Remedy but didnt work

-Went to change the coil.

-Wash and tune carb

-Revert to stock CDI.

 

Then how you make it work?

 

Was at the gym. Then was thinking about why hou heng can solve my problem swee swee for 1 hour. Then i rmbed, when he tuned my bike, my tank of petrol wasnt on it yet. As he washed my carb, so my carb was petrol-less, he used his own petrol from a jerry can and filled it up and started my bike.

 

When he started it and tuned it, it become so smooth and stable. So much that i became so happy. But was not happy when i got home and the problem started again.

 

So today when i was at the gym i thought of that while doing bench press, so i figured and bought jerry cans and a fresh set of petrol and replaced it. and it worked.

 

what have i lost?

 

SGD $120 for the coil which is working fine.

Hou heng's RM 36 is not lost, because it is what insipred me to solve the problem.

 

What have i learnt / gained?

 

- More about my bike.

-What are the various remedy methods to this.

-I can acty learn how chg several stuff my self after this incident.

i have a 10L worth of contminated petrol.. lying outside my house in a can. so.. who want? i give for free :D

 

Conclusion

 

so what the F happend you may ask.. Well i would just say its a simple case of food poisoning for my bike. and i felt bad pushing it to go so hard ytd :( So maybe i shall wash and wax my bike when i am free.

 

 

And by the way how did the petrol become contaminated, its because there is this styrofoam flying around, then i opened the gas cap, and i was wiping the mouth of the tank, when i left it there momentarily to rinse the cloth. so i believe a bit of it got in. And mind you, styrofoam + petrol = dissolve, cant see ****. and Fked up tank of petrol.

i thought the NGK series comes in NGK-CR8E-(something)

 

u mean there's such spark plug as NGK-CR8E ? hmmm.....

 

regarding the horn, lets not forget that mustafa sells 2 types of horns - electro-magnetic and electro-pneumatic.

 

the former uses magnetics to produce a sound and the latter uses AIR (pneumatics) to produce a sound. i think the pneumatic ones are illegal... the ones we use are magnetic.

i just now test my bike i went pass your hse area. I wanted to call you and immediately take the volt meter.
