The only thing that my bike was modded was CBR125 full system. It is restricting me to go up to 140km/h which is our top speed.

 

I don't know whether this would be the main reason of my poor FC.

anws, i think there might be sumtin wrong w my fc oso dude, the fuel gauge drop like very fast! need to ascertain accurately distance divide by amount of petrol..

 

i filled it up to 3/4 full, after i go boonlay and back, slightly less than half liao.

I was also in the same situation as you before, deciding on doing a full servicing on unique or planet. Well, i guess i 'll go over to planet then.

 

Btw, do you remember roughly how much you did your top servicing at planet? My bikeshop also couldn't solve my issue of the fluctuation of idling RPM. Mine can fluctuate between 1.1K to 2K.

 

Do you also have the same issues as me before?

 

cheapest solution, ensure air and fuel feed are consistent. i.e. air filter + air cleaner change to new ones if u havent already done so after gotten yr bike, do a check on the fuel suction pump also to ensure it works fine, no air leaks along the various hoses feeding air to carburettor, suction to fuel pump, petrol from fuel pump to carburettor. next, wash carburettor. at the same time, check for wear and tear in carburettor inner components. i.e. float spring, jets, etc. lastly, check choke cable to ensure it works fine.

 

i did my top service at a relatively expensive rate as compared to the deals chris & stan got. i paid around $450 if im not wrong. recall changing all the relevant gaskets, piston + ring, cam chain, some plastic looking thing that presses against the cam chain. somehow, the mech didnt recommend i change the valves or valve seals. maybe they were still working fine.

 

my issue w/ fluctuating rpm was much worse than yrs. basically the bike cant idle for long. will auto engine dead off. no matter how i adjust the idling screw, the idling cannot remain constant. e.g. if engine die, i adjust till 2K rpm. sekali after i ride for short distance, i realise my idling is now at 4k rpm. so have to adjust downwards, and then i get the same old problem of engine dying off. ended up this was due to faulty fuel suction pump.

I dont wnna go in there to learn how to choing swah.. choing behind the APC while my PC go back to the mesh...

i tink u will definitely learn smth useful. but probably not frm the tasks u have to carry out. maybe more towards how to siam arrows, not to place too much hopes on certain areas of life, etc.

 

there are fair shares of 'act' pple all ard la.

chances of encountering them is somewhat comparable to the area falling within the lines of a normal distribution curve/graph.

Haha bro, I can't reach 140 also. Mine top is 120 ~ 130. Some bro here can reach 140 stock.

 

It seem like your FC is same or poorer than me lol. Do calculate and let me know since we are on the same boat. Haha...

wah ah don, you are like doing a top end overhaul. lol

 

Yeah, your idling that time is really much worst than me. From what you have diagnosed, I suspect it could be the fuel suction pump problem in my bike. The high FC and the fluctuation of idling RPM.

 

I think need to go down to planet or unique to fix this problem.

I also do a fair bit of expressway. And I don't drag gear, within 5.5k or 6k RPM i change gear.

 

And the fuel consumption is :cry:

 

Don't think is NSR150SP lah ! No white smoke coming out from my exhaust ah..

 

don fair ride is max speed 90km/h.... overtake 100km/h:angel::angel:

I can't adjust the idling RPM. Because my RPM during idling can fluctuate beween as low as 1.1K to and up to 2K.

 

I have tried adjusting the idling RPM lower, but my engine just stalled during a traffic light junction when I stop. So I don't know what could be the actual causes of it. It could be the engine is old.

 

During the outing, if I remb clearly, stanley idling RPM also fluctuate like what I am having. But not so sure whether he fix it.

 

By the way kenneth, where do you recommend me to go for full servicing in SG?
