Our dear boys, Zong Ren (Cpt.ZR) and Willie (xbfish), will be gracing the land they call Pulau Tekong in June, where they will morph into men... or so they say. In light of this glorified passageway to manhood, I would like to gather all CBR-ians for a farewell dinner in their honour at Denga Bay. Details are as follows:

Event: Farewell dinner at Denga Bay

Date: 29th (Friday) or 30th (Saturday) May 2009

Time: 7pm onwards

Meet-up point: TBA

Things to bring:

- Bike and helmet

- Ringgit (advisable not more than 100)

- A set of rain suit for yourself (and your pillion, if applicable) in case of undesirable weather.

Very much like the previous A&W outing,

The recommended attire as follows:-

1) Jeans.

2) Covered shoes.

3) T-shirt & jacket / long sleeve shirts. (No singlets allowed)

4) Gloves.

5) Full face helmet.

Do note that the journey there could be cold and the journey back COLDER! So the above mentioned attire is best to keep warm.

The list

(please insert in the following format: )

1) Willie, (u still coming? u have to u know... update us pls!)

2) Zong Ren, 29th

2) Kenneth, both

3) Zed, both

4) chris, both

5) Shaun, both

6)

More details will be added as the days go by.

note: non and ex CBR-ians are welcome too!

Can i wear shorts and slippers??? Weather very hot ah nowadays...

alright thanks alot! it helps greatly. anyway i thot of instead of changing the exhaust to racing set, would u recommend to empty the exhaust? (cuz changing to racing set quite ex, haha).

changing to racing set is exp.

but after modifying the original set and realise u need to get another set of originals when it's time to go for annual inspection or kena pull for inspection by TP/ROV costs even more~

:cheeky:

caaan...........

the above attire is recommended but u may of course choose to wear other attire. slipper and shorts still ok..... but NO SINGLETS!

:cheeky:

just now i tested with Zed liao. the real "effect" comes in after 120@6th gear. At 6th gear, the throttle becomes more responsive. Ah fei was right... gear 1 to 5 u wont feel much difference...

and Zed mentioned to me just now... at gears 1 to 5, the clutch plates are not spinning as fast as compared to gear 6. hence, there is more chance for slippage at gear 6... thats what we experienced with our stock conditions.

now that the clutch plates are being pressed tighter together, this reduces the slippage at gear 6. so technically... this new setup is actually a "gear 6 racing clutch springs".

hahah.. thats $500 on the table with no questions asked when getting caught.

empty it they also know sia.

ask shawn, she nearly got caught with a half empty exhaust.

There is no replacement for displacement, except for Ah Seng

anyway post moterm of the bike. [sitrep]

runs relatively well, lesser vibration when at highspeeds i think because the plates are pressed more tightly..

time taken to engage the clutch plates is shortered by a significant amount of timing, so much so that you can feel it.

but power of the bike never change ... :D and the cluctch now feels like new clutch... ok la abit like super4 new bike like that.

hmm i think thats all? and i will see if i can get XXXXX speed tonight.

hi, care to advise on how much did you pay for the clutch plate replacement? and which shop in agl was it? thanks

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

In SG.. clutch plates = $30+ from Every fit genuine japan CBR part... im sure u can get cheaper one if you not so particular abt original parts...

Installation about $18 at planet....

i see thanks for the info.

so how much was the labour at m`sia? or u guys just went there to service the clutch instead of installing?

what happened to yr side middle fairing?

a few saturdays back, saw yr ride parked at the sticker shop nxt to LAB.

but didnt stop to look for u cause headed straight to LAB to buy tyres.

:cheeky:

tink he is not refering to using it as 2T, but rather, as the EO.

which technically, the EO in 2stroke bike is used to lubricate gears nia. so ATF or gear oils are suitable~

:cheeky:

nope2 not EO if EO ur engine can sae bye2 liao pls dunt try put ATF as EO lol... its 2t u can chk the base very thin inside its like 2t... and its burnable but u cant use it as premix only on 2t pump my fren is using it on his KR no problem the onli thing is that it is smelly plus a little smoky then the better branded 2t

oh ya bro i just buang my bike otw to werk just outside my werkplace tiok oil on rainy days even my michelin cant witstand that then bye2 lor haiz im slowly doin back my bike outlook sucks le sian 1st hand bikele but my enigine and all major parts are still in tip top condition luckily

pls dunt u must understand the point of emptying ur exhaust cause u loose ur low torque onli to gain more high torque so no point it onli make it loud but bo pick up unless u are playing at malaysia then can consider singapore no point waste time onli and the souund not nice ler

oh dear. please take care whilst on the road. and judging from what u say... and from my instinct that u are a safe rider... its time to change tyres dont u think? helmet can use old ones... IU can use old ones... but never gamble or try to save on tyres. :thumb:

:faint:

ATF as 2T is definitely something new to me.

ATF isn't meant to be used for burning off like 2T after lubrication right?
