Bike Shop Investment

Hi Guys,

 

I have plans and already sourced and spoken to reliable distributors to get in parts and plan to open bike shop, but looking for a partner in this venture.

One thing I notice that all the bike shops that are in existence in sg right now are lacking modern day features that other services are offering, this is understandable as the big boss who established this buisness thinks if it is not spoiled then don't fix attitude. But young guys or modern day guys like me (25yrs old) don't see that is how a buisness is going to be run or can be run in the future. So anyways all these basic buisness logic aside I would like to meet people face to face and discuss rather than over the net, just an hour we chat after office or during a weekend at leisure place.

I have ideas that will probably be the change that are bound to happen in the future that will make use of technology to make riders/drivers life easy.

So here is the breakdown that I have estimated

For shop to run around north-area(cause I dont really see any good bike shop in this area but more bikes here) for six months with initial investment(rental, tools, license) and 2 workers will cost about 70K, people told me that is low yes because I have yet to come up with cost of material, and this will depend on the distributor as some are willing to give on credit some more discount on bulk purchases.

Also would like to meet some one who has understanding about modern day buisness models like how Amazon works. We will be employing Amazon buisness model. So all in all 100K will be quite sufficent to startup.

To make it easy,

I am Singapore Indian, 25 years old, currently working in the IT line with a reputable MNC and also studying Degree in SIM as part-time. Have been successful in trading forex for the past 1 year or so thru some tried (hence 30K investment) and tested methods, but having a mech shop is a passion of mine.

I am ready to invest 30K upfront for this venture.. so that is pretty much about me, and my personal characteristics are that I am very upfront guy, no b.s entertainer, friendly and like to think myself as a business minded.
