Retain vehicle number

Hi all,

 

Just like to ask what does it exactly mean when the LTA website says the retained vehicle number has a usage validity period of 12 mth?

 

It doesn't mean that the retained number can only be used on yr next bike for 12mth rite??

 

Experienced bikers pls advise me...many tks!

Just to confirm another matter..

If retained number is to be registered on a used bike, we got to pay $1300??

it means that you have to registered the number to another bike within the next 12 months.

 

and yes, put on used bike have to pay $1.3k. if put on new bike, LTA will refund you $1.2k

what if i sell my bike to bike shop and wanna retain the plate to a new bike?

Looks like it's not so worth it to transfer retained number to a used bike...
