Guys, any idea about GAZi rear shocks for Hyper Vtec? My friend who owns Spec 1 is using this brand. He told me that its very stable in the twisties and stretch riding because of its multiple adjustments and its a nitrogen shocks. GAZi is made in Thailand exported to Japan. Need inputs if you have experienced using this rear shocks. I am currently upgrading some parts of my Hyper Vtec and I might consider this brand if favorable opinion is solcited. Ride Safe!!!:help:

this shock is alot cheaper compare to showa. personally i had used for 1 year plus... feeling is about the same as showa but may not b as durable as showa though cos its considered new in the market....

lets put it this way... a pair of showa rear shocks is about $800 to $900. if this gazi shock is about $200 to $300(i forgot how much), i can change the shocks lets say every 2 yrs?? dun 4get rear shocks r oso wear n tear item, original showa shocks r recommanded to rebuilt every 2 to 3 yrs, which cost about $200++... instead of rebuilding the shock, i can buy a cheaper shock. since its cheaper, change oso wun feel the pinch.

i will definitely use this shock if i'm going to change again.

just my personal opinion.

have a nice day....

i got it from GHC serangoon. the mech recommand me this gazi shock when i was riding my old ver S. as the bike is about 6 yrs on the road n the rear shock is there for that long so change the shock since its cheaper campare to rebuilding it which cost almost the same.

lets say u frequently ride at high speed, when going up north or go track, the more u shd get a better shock or at least service as well as service the fork cos suspension is very important for a good ride...

as in when to change mah, i really dunno. its up to individual liao. some like soft suspension when some like hard ones. so one have to b sensitive towards all these...

lets put it this way... instead of rebuilding the rear shock, u can get an aftermarket shock which cost is average n not too ex. so u can use the new shock while u can keep ur showa as a spare. idea??

n wat type of shock to use depends on individual type of usage. if u r just a normal road user for travelling, normal shocks will do. if u r going for track use, i personally feel u get an even better shock n tune the front fork so that the feeling of riding on track is better.

so its up to u to decide whether to service the shock. wat i was thinking that time is i must do something b4 the the shock give way or spoil.

I agree with your inputs! instead of rebuilding Showa shocks, I would rather buy GAZi because its cheaper and more practical way of maintaining bike. I think this is reliable also. for the price of this rear shock, we can afford to change rear shocks even once or twice a year. My friend is using GAZi for almost 3 years now without any complaint.

Thank you very much for your inputs guys!!!!:hungry:

yup when i bought my Ver S the shop gave me some dampers by the name of MIkuku.. kuku sia..that one is for RXZ bikes..danm i didn't check when i buy..

changed to Gazi... bought from Bukit Batok Hua Chin for $220 3 weeks ago.. can adjust soft or hard..

Been using the G@zi shocks on my Version S for bout a month now...

In my opinion, the shocks handles the corners well. Maybe becos its stil new. Not too hard and not too soft but I find that the shock travel is too short.

When pillion goin over a hard bump it feels like it doesn't travel at all...

Any users have any inputs?

wat do u mean by the shock travel too short?? go over hump, doesn't travel at all??

a good suspension DO NOT have too much of spring effect. it is stiff n it will go back to its original setting the soonest after u rode over an uneven surface.

hope this answer ur question cos i didn't really get wat u asked...

yeah, gazi is a gd idea but its quite subjective, somewhat like our air filter, do u wanna get a K&N air filter which costs bout 80 bucks and can be washable or get a 15 bucks air filter and u change it as and when u like it, advantage of K&N is washable, can save a bit $, disadv, it will turn old and worn out after a while, i prefer the 15 bucks air filter, at least i have the feeling of having something new all the time. i will personally go for the GAZI shocks, even if its stolen it wont be that much of a pain.

Can get the Shocks at B-Plus @Lavender St.

Wat I mean is that it feels a bit stiff when goin over a hard bump. It seems like the bound damping is wee bit too slow...

actually, a hard suspension gives u a hard bounce when u go over an uneven surface. but then on the other hand, it will go back to its original setting making ur ride more stable esp high speed.

imagine ur ride going up n down like a spring. no sudden shock but when u ride fast, u will feel frustrated.

but mayb thats for me...

cheers...

Gazi with installation costs $220 at Hua Chin Bukit Batok Orix Building. W/o installation shd be $20 cheaper i think..Not too sure coz i ask them to install for me. Other brothers have a better price?
