good to hear tat , the vibration issue is troubling me, even after i changed my balancers.

What petrols do you guys use?

I find Esso/Mobil petrol reduces engine vibration due to the friction modifiers in the fuel. Especially when I'm touring, the vibration is lesser. I know because I don't mix petrol, and I can feel the effects of different petrols easily.

I haven't tried V-Power with FMT though, it could have the same effect as well. However, the old V-Power does case the engine to vibrate more.

-ve Creep, Sporting Motors is now sharing the same compond as Mah.

the few 10 tank after collecting de bike.it running on local V-power.the vibration was not that bad as compare to local caltex 98 after i hop over.

but now with clatex 98 + FP60.the vibration is even lesser.

and add-on with RT unit.finally the throttle bar dun feel "vibrate" anymore(under 5.5k rpm).

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

u must have missed all the hoo-ha bout the pilot power a few pages back. i believe the msrp for this is around 480, with some shops going as high as 500+, and cheapest at 420. i got it for 350. bloody steal.

the pilot power 2CT is the latest offering by michelin, and uses dual compound, medium center and soft sides. it has onli just been released, and i dunno how much it retails or even if available locally yet. check out the michelin site for more details. both have exact same tread patterns, and both are categorised as fast/performance road tyres specifically for sportsbikes, like BT-014, D218 and diablo corsa. they are not "road-legal track tyres" category like the michelin power race or supercorsa, so dun compare the performance nor the price of the pilot power with tyres like these.

i think for fast sports tyres, around 300 gets u BT-014 or D218, 350 gets u sportec M1, and 400+ gets u diablo corsa, sportec M3 and pilot power. if u have budget of 400+, worthwhile to consider pros and cons of the DC and M3 over the PP. me, my budget was 350, and finding out i could get PP for that price, no need to wait already. better than any i could have gotten for that price.

price are estimates only, and for F&R. needless to say, dun mix and match tyres....

bike died on me again. pistoff big time.

same symptoms as before. one press of the starter button, just as it starts cranking everything dies; lights, dashboard, everything. subsequent tries yield same results. earlier, i noticed my clock and tripmeter had reset-ed itself. not good.

sweated doing push-start by myself. didn wanna go all the way K&T just for batt change, so visited mototiam near my place. honest shop, just that they rarely do anything bigger than a super4.

fella tried a yuasa size ten, but apparently its taller than our stock yuasa-honda size 10 so the seat couldn fit. he fixed a yokohama size 7 instead, which by his own admission is a super4 batt. fits.

problem is, after its charged and installed, he measured the batt with my bike running and claims my bike is not charging it enuff. and coz he got little experience with the 600RR, he cant say if the prob is the size 7 batt or the rectifier. all he can say is if i experience same prob, then i shd immediately bring back dealer have the rectifier checked.

so...... confirm theres a prob wif my bike. but its not confirmed if the prob lies with the batt or the rectifier. too bad i didn think of asking him fix back my old yuasa-honda size 10 batt and measure for comparison purposes.

by the way ben, what batt did u install, and have u experienced any probs since.
