Hi everyone,

recently my 08 cbr stalled when i moved off after warming up. no fault lights blinked and it can be started immediately. the problem came again a few more times until the engine is hot enough and it stops throughout the ride. but after the engines go cold and the problem surfaced again.

all these happened after i changed my sprocket, chain and chain slider.

anyone has any idea whats wrong?

thanks in advance!

Any CBR riders still active here? Bought a 13 model a few months ago. My low fuel starts to blink at 180km to 190km for normal riding in sg. Is that consider very low?

18L fuel tank right? assuming the light comes on when you have 10% left..

16.2L for 190km = 11.7km/l

yes that is pretty low.. how is the bike running? running smooth ? any lack of power? have you done a major servicing yet? air filter/spark plugs/reset ECU

@DRZ_b0i

yes 18L. usually when the fuel gauge starts to flash i top up around 14 to 15L. My best was 15.4km/l when i ride highway a lot, lowest 11.92km/l because i ride a lot of short distance.

Maintenance wise, did injector and throttle body cleaning, my reusable filter also cleaned. Previous owner told me spark plug was changed at 5000km ago. I believe my bike was a track bike previously but i not sure where to go for ecu reset.

@exygon Disconnect the battery, hold down the brake lever to ensure no more 'juice' left in your electric circuitry, leave bike for 15 mins to an hour, connect back the battery.

This is the quick and 'fast' way to reset your ECU, as there will be no more juice left for the ECU to keep memory of the old settings. Try it and let us know?

Also, check for leaks in your fuel system, and/or look for any blockage in your intake and air pipes. Good luck!

@SBF Im not sure if it will work like some cars where you unplug the battery for the car to "re-learn" your driving but i will give it a try and update here!

Got my workshop to check for leaks and clean the air filter so that part should be good. Only thing i cant check is fuel pump. Maybe will try changing spark plug during my next servicing.
