u noe, last time just buy this bike i oso gian, want to wheelie.

then my fren showed me a clip on his hp, a clip of himself on his R1 along 2nd link very late at night.

can only see headlights and a bit of the road. the clip background can hear his R1 coming from far, then can see his headlights in the distance. then the headlights go up, successful wheelie! then... something wrong leh.... his headlights point sideways, suddenly i hear several people screaming in the background, i hear a crash and i see the R1 sliding along the road at high speed in shower of sparks, the handphine very shaky and the clip ends.

very drama, but its real stuff, my fren lucky to survive, and now i no longer dare to learn wheelie after watching that clip.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

dun mind me hor, i not preaching just sharing onli.

the way i see it, a 600 can only wheelie in 1st gear, 2nd gear onwards not powerful enuff. and u need to rev it up beyond 10k rpm to do it, where peak torque and power is. but then, in 1st gear at 10k rpm we're already at 100kmh. so i just dun dare man.

in any case, fren of mine who wheelies his 600FS sez bring to about 40kmh, clutch in and rev quickly 3 times in succession to bring rpm up to 10k, then rev hard and clutch out quickly. but i just no balls to try after watching that clip.

dyno figure is de "more technical" way of guessing the machine output.

of course in real life performance, there are som many factor involve like ; road temp, air temp, rider weight, tire pressure, fork setup, wind direction etc.

but dyno readout will serve a general ideal on the output.

if really have to "Factor" those variable into it....then we need to be math genie just to ride a bike liao.:cheeky:

Encounter this years back ..................

1- Same bike

2- Same setup

3- Same rider

4- different dyno machine

and lastly the dyno is done one day after another

but the result is totally different from one another.

The best thing is the second day of dyno the bhp increase to 15%

Where on earth that come from ??????

I am currently using a brandless frame slider...I wanted to change to Motovation one...Can anyone tell me whether all the sliders' hole are of the same round size? I scare the motovation slider cannot go into the slider hole! :giddy:

i tot it shd be " a 400 is the same as 600 in low rev" ??? and not the other way round?

eeerrr...if dyno figure also cant trust...then i nothing to say liao.:cheeky:

i always felt charts are one thing

but the feelin of riding it is 2 different things

u may ride 2 bikes wif similar dyno charts but dosent mean the feelin will be the same

same as if we exhange bikes within the rr group presumebly we r all stock, i dun think the feeling will be the same also

i m not saying dyno charts but useless, but given the choice i would rather listen to someone who has been to both world b4 than listening to a machine

Where on earth that come from ??????

the answer lays on "correction ratio" and "gear tranmission ratio".

it common for "some folks" to adjust the ratio....either to "make" the figure looks bigger or more close to life.

then there is the air temp and Humidity setting.which also add in "making figure looks good".

it common known that sme machine operator will tweat those setting to make customer happy.

real skill is to spot those that are honest.:cheeky:

Yeah, should be ok. But i am kinda concern about the worksmanship. They treat ur bike like a piece of scrap metal. No balancing somemore eh?

Can share tools and save alot of troubles. I understand ur feeling when it is that swtich that is faulty. Damn sucky, thought that button gone forever liao.

Pleasure motors at Ubi beside De Xing offered me a PC3 + Dyno for $550 during an offer last month. Or was it around there??. forgot ley.. cheap ah??? Never really asked around Unity how much it costs.

But these days I like to copy Superbike style that is all D-I-Y... :-P

Was quoted $600+ with custom mapping. Well, of course. If not get PC3 for wat. Pretty steep price if u ask me.

I am thinking of getting one and download the mapping for my mircon pipe. Feel the difference. Play ard with the A/F mixture to match our climate. If cannot make it, then do custom mapping. This way can really see the difference. But then.....no $ at the moment. Tyres first! Power can talk later.

anyway, u used to ride spec 3 ? hows thw power compared to the 600 now ? we have someone commenting in the other thread abt 400s is the same as 600s in low rev

Can't really compare. They are all different.

It really depends on wat u WANT. Power? Go for the obvious reason, 600cc is far from it. Every category is different, be it 150, 200, 250, 400, 600, 750, 1000 and so on....Know wat u want and go for it. Not after getting a 600 and found out that y the power is so limited compared to a 1000.

I used to ride a super4 vtec. Tried my friend's stock 03 RR, and that particular short ride made up my mind that i want a 600, 600RR particularly. Small, compact, light, power wise, all to my liking. Till now, i have never thought of upgrading to a 1000, 600 is wat i like. And that's it.

My point is know wat u are looking for in a sportsbike. Choose from there. Category first then choose manufacturer.
