hi guys, im in deep **** now, just lost my last bike key.... im riding a cbr600rr 05 model..

any experienced guys here have any advice for me on how to go around solving this problem?

i know our bike has the HISS system... and theres a chip inside our key .... all i have now is my bike key code..... any help is deeply appreciated

Bro...if ur bike still under installment I believe ur bike shop hold a key!!!

But if ur bike had finish installment... U can try go honda buy a key and go shop ask them to syn for u and u have to pay... Cause I just happan know that actually Honda bike dun have master key one... As long as u 1 extra key u can syn another one out... Unlike Kawasaki and yamaha bike need a master key like red colour one...but u lost all key... Maybe have to change the whole ingition... U can go Honda ask...

Called honda and ask lor... if anot ask ur bike shop also can.... wah...but change the whole ignition not cheap.... at least few hundreds...!!!!

ignition is cheap. cdi is expensive. heard from my mech is over 1k for whole set of lock + cdi. worst thing is u still dun get to keep all the keys. need to give them 1 if ur bike is still under instalment.

maybe u can ask diy how much. if can save 50 - 150 y not diy? fairly simple to fix.

bottom fairings will do. tools is essential as too big a spanner may not be able to excess the headers.

the cheapest is maybe only u can try buying those cdi aka ecm (US model cos no HISS) from ebay. then try go those lock smith see whether they can duplicate a key using the gas cap. if cannot then have to buy the whole lock set le. u will loose out the hiss function if it works.

hi all i am offer for full system akra exaust at 1.3k 2nd hand but not street legal, just to ask isist worth it to buy that street illegal pipe or is there anyother way to mob the pipe to street legal . any one can advise me thanks

i know who u got it from well u can do anything u like but dun get caught!!!! Best do it after ur main inspection can save u alot of trouble.

 

If u ask me i dont might taking the risk if the price is ok. If u go track and want brand since it's offer to u at this price i think is ok (close to 1/2 price of a brand new) If u dun track but just want a slip on or an akra brand then it's not worth it cause now slip on are starting from 850 onward, an akra without installation at only 1.3k++ as well, as arrow from uq motor is at 1.4k with installation.

 

Think about it, using illegal get fine how much? send for inspection how much? ask ppl to send ur bike for yearly inspection how much? the cost factor in to u for the next few years (depend on how long u want to ride)

he scared-ed himself liao. the post above say he ask bs and was quoted 1k for replacement. iirc according to my mech without any existing key. even with the key code tag oso no use. not sure y. but im planning to duplicate another 1 or 2 keys just in case.

for wat i noe u cant convert an illegal pipe to street legal in sg.

how u define worth it really depends on individual.

 

some use bike only for track. worth it.

some say wah full sys cheaper than Slip-on. worth it.

some may think pay so much for street legal for wat. = not worth it

i use my bike daily. so kana 1 time = not worth it.

personally i think is abit no use, due to sg have high ppl like to disturb bikes and take things from our bike. i have fren who items miss from bike alot of time. The worse things i ever hear before was ppl steal brake cable (that is so fxxking stupid)

 

I have from who volmeter got stolen, plug windscreen, no plate screw, bike cover, screw cover for tires, RCS brembo brake pump... and alot of stiupd thingy la...

 

I mean if u want to get for track use for whatever reason and u can afford that is not a problem. if u dont might having a 50% chance things got stolen then is also ok. I am not putting cold water for u just wanna to know sometime fashion for our bike can lead to risk factor.

theft cases, not much we can do.. canvas, alarm, etc2... while a gear indicator is a must for me while on the track, i also love and look at it quite often while im on the road... not a cosmetic item at all fr me, but it has become a necessity.. just my personal view

 

anyways, there are many reliable gear indicators out there, but do take note some of them goes bonkers and sometimes display a different gear when you clutch in, but will be fine once u release the clutch.. I'm using PZracing, but that doesnt bothers me, cus hw long wud u want to clutch in rite?

 

There's a brand that is highly recommended that does not have this prob, i think it's one of the GiPro model, cant remember...

ya i think so, lost cert the most do another inspection for ur legal pipe. Bu an illegal pipe cant past inspection
