i've recently bought a cbr600 with no regrets. a brand new one would depend if you're getting the 09' model or the 10' model. difference bout a few hundred bucks depending on how transparent the shop is with you.

for mine i bought is the 09' model for $21800 but if you minus off the insurance which was $1300 you'll get $20500 and this is the machine price of the bike. certain shops offering 5% interest rate per annum while others giving 4%. i suggest you look around for a reputable bike shop willing to offer you at 4% interest rate.

good luck!

hi , i like to ask u guys since we are living in a traffic jam country, for sportsbikes like cbr if keep overheating and cause the fan to be on very often, will it damage the engine in a long run? as what i know even the fan is turned on to cool the engine , the temp would just stay at a certain tempurature.

buying a brand new bike isn't easy. not just financially. but the running in of the bike as well. because it is important to do it properly and correctly to ensure its peak performance in the long run.

the least no. of years you can take the loan out for is 1 year lor. but confirm monthly very expensive but you don't waste on the interest. minimum is what you can afford. the more the deposit or downpayment, the better it is cos the loan is lesser. and loan period take as short as possible.

hm, i guess thats the risk u take when you buy second hand as well. you wouldnt know if the owner did his running in properly. but seems like its diff to do proper running in in sg unless you go for dyno right? how much would that be?

I haven't did any valve clearance. Previous owner told me only need to do at 100,000km.

Regarding the fork part, so should i set it to harder?? or it will not make any difference?

Valve clearance at 100,000Km is gonna kill your engine...

To be 100% sure that your forks are in good condition send it to a mech for a check first...you might need to service your forks first in order to set it properly... your bike is already 4 yrs++ old I don't know what type of terrain the previous owner and you always ride your bike in...if you always ride it in the rocky terrain chances are you need to service them already...

The CBR600 was *designed* to ride on the track. Of course it will work in OEM condition.

hey folks... last chance this week for a good deal on a fork upgrade.

Racetech gold valve kit

Ohlins springs

Ohlins fork oil

New seals

Work done by HKL.

The total cost of this was 965. Here's the plan... you give me your good condition stock forks and 550, I give you the upgraded forks. This is the fastest, least expensive way to upgrade your front end.

We don't have to do the swap this week- but we have to confirm it. Otherwise, the Racetech valves come out and the Ohlins cartridges go in, and once that happens kit will still be on sale for 550, but now you have to pay to have it installed...

Other bits coming up for sale:

Arrow slip-on: Right now snow_man has first dibs on it

Arrow collectors:

PC3 mapped by HKL: ideally should go with collectors

K&N air filter:

PM me if you're interested in any of the above- cheers~

no prob. the cbr600 is a terrific bike for track *and* street... or i wouldn't have one! and remember, while its fun to upgrade your bike, and i'm very guilty of this, it is the rider and not the bike that produces fast lap times. Spend some time to learn the basics of track riding in advance and concentrate on learning once you get there and I'm sure you'll have a blast.

this is cool. cannot wait for my hands to get this baby on board. As I have dual vehicle ownership, so I am actually looking around for something cheaper yet sufficient to fill my hunger for pure power. CBR1000 is off my list as the selling price is nearly 30k.
