Prank...Tachyon do provide rebuilding services...but I think you suspension no need rebulid need a proper setting instead...your bike how old only want to rebulid suspension...

For 2nd hand PPE for track I really don't have any lobang try the garage sales section instead...Bro get a proper PPE and spend less on mods...you will find that it is more worth it...mods are not a major requirement on the track...you will understand it as soon as you hit the tracks....cheers

Finally you want to go track liao....

Prank- are you looking to SERVICE your forks, or REBUILD them? Servicing the forks would involve disassembly, cleaning, changing the seals and oil. My guess is that would cost 200+ and wouldn't really do much for you unless your forks are currently in a bad state.

Rebuilding would involve the same steps as sevicing + changing the valves and possibly changing the springs. I had mine fully rebuilt at HKL for a cost close to 1000 - but I'd be willing to let those go at a big discount as it saves both parties costs for labor, oil, and seals.

If you're interested, PM me.

Hmmmm... I would wanna rebuild my suspensions actually. I dunno, but i find that its really getting saggy... Maybe its time for servicing? I dunno how to explain here. But maybe after u take a seat on my bike, den u can understan.

Wow, colacin, i didnt noe that just rebuilding the front forks alone would cost up to 1k... Goodness gracious...

Yupz, though my bike is oni 3yrs old, but went we go for outing, a few of them push my bike and could feel that suspension koyak already...

Hi guys, how do i know if my fork need to service?

When i stop at traffic light, after i release my brake, there will be like a 'bounce' of the fork back to original position.

And i see you guys talking about "ticking" sound. My bike also have this sound when i on throttle, not using slip-on or FS. Really don't know what is wrong. Please help.

That is the normal work of the fork...reason when you apply the front brake the front fork sure will go down due to loading of the front when trying to stop...so once you release the brakes the front load will be taken off thus causing the front fork to return to the normal position...

The issue is are your fork suspension being properly setup or not...it seem like your fork had been set till too soft liao...

About the ticking sound...how old is your bike and what is the mileage you had traveled?

erm ok, maybe i never specify, after i brake to a complete stop, den when i release the brake, there will still be a little bit of bounce back to the original position.

My bike is 05, milleage is 66000km.

The suspension seems totally normal to me...as long as you are still holding on to your brakes the load cannot fully be taken off even at a complete stop...only when you release the brake then the load will 100% be taken off...don't forget when you brake your body weight is also being thrown to the front...so at the point you release your brakes the front tyres will be free and it definitely will roll a little bit to the front or back that is the time when the load is totally gone and the suspension regain its normal position...

At that type of mileage did you do your valve clearance for you engine?

I haven't did any valve clearance. Previous owner told me only need to do at 100,000km.

Regarding the fork part, so should i set it to harder?? or it will not make any difference?

hey guys, i would like to ask all of you if cbr600 has any major issues or gripes that you riders face.. cos i am mainly comparing between gsxr600 and cbr600. many ppl say honda is quality, but does that mean gsxr is a poorly bulit bike? ive asked them in the gsxr thread and they told me gsxr is mainly problem free, other than certain year models having a rectifier issue. im wondering if the cbr has any inherent issue with the model. thanks alot!
