Reptiletan...you sure you want illegal exhaust? I am very sure even a working adult wouldn't want or can hardly afford the fine when caught with it...not to say a student...

 

Carbon fiber endcan can help you shave off a little bit of weight...but beware...carbon fiber is not so good actually...there are cases which the heat & pressure is too much for the carbon fiber to handle and it gave way which the end result is a big hole on the side of the endcan...

HRC stuff are really really rare...especially the V Stacks... forget the HRC Air Filter cause it cannot be used on the road unless you are prepare to spend money repairing your engine...

Hey guys,

 

New to the thread here as I just bought a second hand 2007 CBR600.

 

Presently, the front brakes vibrate/shudder when I brake. It gets worse when I brake hard. Tried cleaning the rotors but it does not seem to help.

 

What could be the possible causes? Warped rotors or brake pads having uneven wear?

 

Just wondering if the problem is a common one with the CBR600.

Just to add on,

 

Any particular preference for engine oils for the CBR? I have been using OWS for quite some time (on my previous bikes) and they seem to work quite well. Now that the bike is due for an engine oil change (I brought it up touring, so the mileage was quite heavy), I am wondering if there are any alternatives. OWS makes the engine quite smooth but it does seem to sacrifice a bit of the power delivery.

 

Also, any brand of sillicon spray to recommend? Need to touch up the paintwork from all the dirt accumulated from touring. I did not have the opportunity to wax the bike when I got it as it is second hand already.

You problem seems to be caused by warped/worn out rotor, bad brake pads or suspensions....

CBR do not and is not suppose to have these problems...in fact none of the bike should have this...

Yes..there is a way...use a dial indicator which is the most accurate...

 

Just why are you so sure that the suspensions, brake pads & rotor thickness are ok? Did your mech told you that or is it you check yourself...

 

Look bro if you think you can find out what is the bike problem just like that then mech all close shop liao...some issues need to be check through by mech one...and honestly trying to be smarter than the mech in order to save money will let you eventually spend more money...I totally understand some mech chop chop with their very sharp knives when the rider don't know much about their bike...but trust me on this bring to a recommend mech and have the problem checked...

09-10 if can get at that price is consider good.. if 07-08 than i think u consider again.. cause some shop can get from 18plus - 20 the most..
