Yea, Loois motor gave me an OTR price, and didn't change it one cent when the COE turned out much higher than expected.

They wouldn't want to risk their reputation over afew dollars.

Any of you guys know where to get Airhawk seat covers? I'm sadly not blessed with an iron butt, get butt burn long before the mind gets tired.

I think you can only get it online. Nobody brings it in, another alternative is to try and get a set of firm sponge, trim your seat and cover back the original cover. I had my present ride done up by Eugene Saddlery. Sure gives a better ride. Also it beats getting your airhawk stolen as it's only secure with some bungy cords.

Learn from a GW1500 rider he had those beads for the car seat and trim it to size, then placed over the seat . When seating down it sure takes some pressure of the butt.

Below is the description of the Corbin seat to compare to stock ones, they are expensive but the seating after you break it in is awesome, so Neo your butt maybe worth it!!

"The stock foam is soft and feels "cushy" at first, but this goes away quickly as your body weight pushes all resilience out of the foam. This leaves you sitting on the basepan with pressure points developing in *ahem* ... inconvenient places. The Corbin saddle feels firm at first, but retains resilience indefinetely so you always have a nice ride. Over time, our Comfort Cell® foam will actually break in and take on your shape for a personalized fit.

You may find the seat actually changes your posture slightly. Although this can be a little unsettling at first, give it some time! You'll notice the positioning and angle of the seating platform actually helps to relieve fatigue from your wrists, knees, ankles, back and neck. Don't be worried though, you're considering a new seat for a reason, right?!"

I don't think Corbin seats will be for me, because I ride quite differently with and without pillion, seating much further back when riding solo. I don't think the Corbin seat 'memory' foam will adapt to the two riding situations.

Got it at $31500 on the road. Maybe more expensive than other bike shops. One thing about Looi's motor they on the road means the selling price no hidden cost like some bike shops. On one hand tells you this price but when collect bike tells you must pay gst, admin charges & more crap.

did you ask for any freebies???

didn't know that you knew Motrax aka Alvin...

could have help you ask for more freebies...

You have the Corbin on your ride?

I had one before on one of my previous previous ride. It was very hard initially but when you break in it's the best seat you can have. But I find it to be too wide for my liking. I had to order the seat 2 inch off but I still need to tip toe. Also I don't quite like the seat pan makes fast shifting the butt a liitle difficult.

That was why I have it customise my seat locally. It's definately a cheaper option.

Fair enough, let's make a run to Kulai for a good Nasi Lemak, to get to know each others and maybe work out a schedule for a future and longer ride.

If we go on a week end, then let's make it after 10pm so we don't get the JB dinner traffic.

Now what is a good day for everybody? Aurium, Neo, Kawasabi, Paikia and others?

Wonders anybody here got affected? Wonders is the agent doing anything about it?

Rear Brake pedal recall

I d be surprised if Evershine knew about it! But here in Singapore we have UK models, the reference of the bike is different.

Although, i find the cause of the recall, road debris affecting rear brake function, a bit odd but very American!!

Let's forward the letter to Evershine though and see what it says...

Yes Corbin, it is, very comfortable, rode almost non stop for 8h to Thailand and no butt pain. I do not need fast shifting for my butt as I just tour fast not race!!

Hmmm guess Corbin's a good choice. Hope to have one of the C14s meetings and try out the seat. Most likely we'll have meetup after I'll finish runnin the bike.

I find it stange too how come only those US models affected what about the Euro models. But nevertheless still good to check with Evershine in regards to this issue.

Cheers

Rear Brake pedal recall

I have faxed the US dept of transportation letter to Evershine and wrote a note asking them if our Sin bikes are concerned about this recall. I put my mobile number on it so let's see if they call me.

I ll keep you updated.

Rear Brake pedal recall[/url]

I did some more research and the first problems occured in Europe in late 2007 click on Kawa US letter to US authorities.

Our chassis numbers are not within the recalled ones but I am now very curious to hear about Evershine.

They better find out what is going on and say something about it as the importer they are fully responsible, even if there is nothing to worry about.
