Suzuki V-Strom 1000 2014

Starting this new thread for new gen Vee strom riders to share on this new bike. Hopefully I could gather a group of the new 2014 vee riders here in SG to learn, share and ride.

How is this bike bro? I have the latest Wee 650 ... thinking of getting the 1 litre.

So far so good bro. Torque is good but top speed can't match the KTMs, BMWs etc..but who the heck needs top speed while touring anyway.140 is a breeze and just nice for touring. Wind protection could be better but not a deal breaker, so its ok.

 

the only down side so far is the plastic skid plate. Could have done better with a metal skid plate, but good news, Suzuki is bringing the metal version soon and touratech is already doing a lot of accessories prototypes which should be out in the market soon.

Went to Vientiane on the bike with my wife and now on the way back. Bike handles well and have more then enough power for my riding style. Good bike.

I was told that the new 2014 V-Strom topped at 165 kmph and is out of breath. Sounds terrible ! Is this true ?
