Hi peeps...me intending on scouting for a 2nd hand x8...wat r de things to look for..is de engine sound rough? i've read dat de water pump will leak easily, how much it takes to replace those? Thanks a lot ...

Hi all. Just gotten myself a X8 a week ago. Great bike! I noticed a few scratches along the key hole area, foot rest area and the console area which most probably cause by my keys and my shoe. The scratches is not deep but it left a few white colour scratch line across the surface. See oredi also heart pain. Any recommended products to remove the scratches. I was thinking of going to auotbacs to look for some products. Was thinking of getting the Meguiars scratch X or other similar products to clear away the scratches but was afriad that it will cause more scratches than to begin with because it is designed for scratches on painted surfaces and the scratches I want to remove is at the plastic areas.

Anyone got try to remove the scratches on the above mention areas as I saw a lot of X9 and X8 with scratches on them. Any products to recommend also?

hey bengzz, congrats on getting your X8. I dont think its advisable to use Meguiars scratch X on the plastic areas that u mentioned. I always use cockpit shine on the plastic areas. It gives the plastic areas a coating and looks like its brand new

btw I like to change the head light to white ? which model of light bulb is good ???

roughly how much ??? white better or just stick to the normal warm white light bulb ???

 

I notice if i remove the box there will be two visible holes at the side ???

I think theres a rubber handle to fix on it when the box is removed... where can i get the original handle ? and how much ar ???

i gotten my 2 white light changed at taihin when i go for my ERP bracket..

 

each LED bulb cost $5 and it may take up a while.. removing the faring to gain access to the light assembly area is troublesome

 

 

but result is worth it

 

you can go PSC to ask about the box's rubber handle

hey brownkai, sure of cos the X8 can fix the stebel. In fact i'm using a pair of stebel rite now. for the headlight i still use the normal warm white as it will cast a ray on the road and those white light wont. I only use white light for the pilot lights.

 

When u bought your X8 they never give you the cover for the holes? Its a curve panel that sits nicely behind the pillion's seat. If you don't have it then you can ask piaggio.

for myself last time, 2nd servicing they didn't do anything except for a thorough check on the condition of the scoot didnt change anything
