Recommended 2T & Engine Oil for NSR150?

ok... but i donno wut is gear oil... nv heard of it.

sp 2t use shell vsx aredi can.

engine aredi very clean. speed 180/190 oso no problem.

 

2 stroke bike use (4t) engine oil is actually only for the gears (n clutch?)

the specific type of oil is for 2 stroke gearbox is gear/transmission oil.

 

but use 4t or transmission oil both can, as long as lube the gear properly.

btw gear oil n engine oil is the same thing.. just that 2stroke call it engine oil and 4stroke call it gear oil if i didnt rmb wrongly.. both are also 4t. =)

hey 5tr4ng3r, I would advise you to use a good Fully Synthetic 2T as for 2-Strokers like SP, the 2T is the oil that lubricates the engine components like the pistons, etc.

 

For 2-Strokers, the 2T does not really give the same amount of lubrication and protection compared to 4-Strokers which uses 4T as their Engine Oil instead. That is why 2-Stroke engines will usually suffer more wear and tear compared to 4-Stroke engines, and may require an overhaul once in a while.

 

For 4T, it's alright to use a Semi Synthetic one instead. Just remember that Semi Synthetic oils will wear out faster than the Fully Synthetic ones, as it will lose it's lubrication properties faster.

starting i use r2 ... then switch to esso pace .. then to total .... not much diff except I get more smoke wen I use r2 ... IMO if u r nt using the bike for track then just use cheap 2t can liao .... doesnt mean use ex 2t = no nid overhaul ... but one thing I feel better performance if I use r2 and shell v power ...dunno izzit pschological or nt .. keke

Hmm. i don't think the type of 2T will have an effect on how fast it's being used up, usually should be your 2T settings, high or low. go check it out.
