hey all.. i am a 21 year old female taking my class 2b lessons at BBDC, hope to document my little journey here. Here, i will post my honest thoughts and experiences through every class.

I too, had many doubt about myself in the beginning. embarrassed that i would fall too many times and become laughing stock, scared of falling down and hurting myself, whether if riding is suitable for me in the first place etccc and the lists goes on.

I am only 1.56m and 40kg, that makes me a petite girl. so if i can do it, so can you!

I hope to inspire those who are 50-50 about taking their bike license and hopefully inspire you guys out there, whether male or females, to pursue their dreams of riding :)

That makes us same weight n height. I'm 1.55m, 40kg!

Follow your heart even if sometimes it means losing your mind.

If there is one thing I've learnt from motorcycle riding lessons.

when a guy falls in the driving centre, nobody bats an eye.

when a girl falls in the driving centre, everybody loses their minds.

14th lesson: 4.01 ( passed on first attempt)

havent been going for practical lessons for about 1 week plus.. been so busy with my exams. i didnt sleep for the whole of last night, was up studying for my paper, which was at 10am today. then went home for a nap, and then went for a practical at night. my next paper is saturday.. so at least theres a couple of breather days.

at first i was afraid i would forget how to operate the basic functions of the bike. worried if i forgot how to change gear properly?? worried that the bike would be very foreign to me since i havent go for classes for some time. but once i got on the bike, everything just clicks and it comes upon you naturally. i guess this is what they call body-brain coordination memory.

S course and crank course today. always see the s course from afar, and thought it looks so difficult and challenging. the course lanes were narrower then what i had thought it was. but i would say its really fun.. haha. i had alot of fun during this lesson. it thought me to be more comfortable to lean while turning, improvement in this area would definitely help with my pylon course also. i did lose a little bit of balance here and there inside the s course, and was still rather wobbly at some points, and did wide/sharp turns.. and sometimes never kick the gear hard enough, always end up in neutral gear and thats when things screw up. my timing average was about 10.4 seconds. timing cannot exceed 11 seconds to pass.

the crank course is alright, just that sometimes i forgot to off the signal inside the lane.

the instructor asked me why i seem to be chionging for my license, asked me if i am very free is it. haha i just told him i enjoyed the classes and also didnt want to stagger large gaps in between lessons, for fear i would 'forget'. actually i just want to ride.. doesnt matter if its riding inside bbdc for now, as long as i am on a bike, i am happy haha.

the next practical 4.02 would be a circuit review of all the courses that will be tested. wish me luck :)

The body remembers;

once you can move without needing to think about it, it's pretty much ingrained in you.

well, good luck.

Muscle Memory... same with driving, cycling.

And that why the SAF always make us keep doing the same routine over & over again, to build muscle memory http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/images/smilies/icon-lol.gif
