Searching for a suitable MMORPG that is locally based.

 

Granado Espada, which I used to play 2007-2009, appears to be totally dead, by now.

 

Meantime, I came across this pretty epic Russian WW2 flight simulator. Reading of air combat related history books, and HOTAS setup recommended.... erm, if you don't want to get killed instantly by the rest of us :3

That flight sim one? It's called "IL-2 1946"

 

Should be quite cheap in stores today, you get like 5 games in one, the whole IL-2 series with a storm of addons since 2003.

 

If you want to wait a month or so more, there is a new IL-2 with an updated 3D engine, called Cliffs of Dover.

I tht it was some of those newfangled free to play MMOs on the market these days.

 

 

There's a new browser MMO game out now. It's still in the beta stage.

OK... it's not REALLY a browser game. They have a special plug-in 3D graphics engine that uses the browser to play. It's interesting, called the Unity Game Engine, makes your browser look like a full fledge 3D game. Only problem is the load time between stages.
