inconsistent performance, so many 'star' players, how to support local football. not entertaining at all. everything nice on paper.

sorry to say that but.......

Agreed

All that is gold does not glitter, Not all who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken: The crownless again shall be king.

Have you all heard?

"Goal 2010" is officially DEAD....... changed name to Roadmap to World Cup or something..........

And I always thought Goal 2010 is to qualify for 2nd round in SEA Games......

show me the goods, before i support. plenty did but gave up. or at least have some consistencies. after msia cup, fandi, malik yahya and all the likes, singapore soccer went dead. but i will not doubt that there are a few who are good and have shown commitments to local soccer. good for them but the majority....???

sleague??? aunties go see sleague??? think again my fren on why aunties are watching it, if it wasn't for s'pore pools what 'll the crowd size be??

if there's good stuffs from them i may think again and support. but now, sadly i won't bat an eyelid.

anyone went to watch the lion city cup this evening?

They look like a proper football team man! Not some nasi goreng, teh tarik bunch of misfits we're used to paying money to watch at the Kallang recently. Hope they continue to mature as players like wayne rooney of england and we will finally qualify for the SEA games semifinals before i turn 90...

used to be an ardent fan...

i remember 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993 (I think) malaysia cup

but after the debacle known as 4-0 vs m'sia in tiger beer cup... i shall not watch another national team game until they can 1. improve fitness 2. improve attitude and 3. improve their technique

that's the 1st time i ever walk out of the stadium within 70mins! not even watching the relegation season is so painful... :weep:

Actually, the national team is not that bad. the bad thing is the organisation FAS. Spore vs Japan is a huge match and it had to be played in Jalan Besar instead of the national stadium. what a joke. they only think of how to make money but not the passion of the spore soccer fans.

Used to support them during the malaysia cup days but not anymore. only watch on tv if got live and nothing better on the tv. so sad. local soccer going down the drain.

yeah...those soccer courts are places where u can see many talented people...many of them are really skillful...can play well...but not many want to have a career in soccer...tats the problem...its always studies come first here...most parents would rather their children study rather than play soccer....so its not easy for singapore....other top footballing countries...the kids eat, sleep, drink...bla bla bla soccer...tats y they can succeed....as said by someone on TV....u lose...u cry....u win...u also cry....sleep with the ball...talk with the ball....i tink we will never reach tat level...
