i ride a 1996 cb750 rc42 jdm.

petrol consumption is about 17 to 20 km per liter

Engine wise ... CB750 does not have radiator = less item to maintain.

tappet is self-adjusted so no need maintenance

Get a CB750 if you are comfortable with 150 to 170 cruising speed in NSH. The bike is quite reluntant to go pass 200km/h :cheeky:

Insurance-wise ... i paid last year about S$ 350 to NTUC for 3rd party ... i am 41 years old

If you are a chiongster ... then go for the bigger HONDA in the CB family :thumb:

Well bleuo1o7 you cant compare a CB750 to a CB1000. Cos there wont be any pros in a CB1000 compare to CB750 with the list you stated. The only thing that CB1000 can top CB750 is only the power. Other than that, bigger CC means poorer FC, more ex insurance and road tax definately.

But CB1000 can hit 200km/hr if you wanna knw. That is where the CC plays the part. If you are concern abt cost i think its wiser to choose the CB750.

Personally i like heavier and stout bike so i go for CB1000. Cos i fat. :D

Hi,

It's forward leaning due to my short arm. My lower back aches on long rides. So thinking of extending the handle bar higher and backwards towards my body.

Anyone has raised their cb750 handle bar before, please let me know what did you do.

Thank you.

You can change your handle bar to suit your style as our handle bar are the common type ... however, do note that you may need to drill a hole at each side for the switch. You take out the switch from your current handlebar and you will see the holes needed :thumb:

If you want to raise the handlebar, you may have to replace the cables for longer ones due to the higher end-position:

1. Electrical

2. Clutch

3. Choke

4. Accelerator

Also, the front brake hydraulic hose may be affected.
