buying from owner or tiam??

hi guys^^ i am kinda newbie about buying bike^^"

i now currently still at pract 6 but i would like to check out some mototiam about the price of sp.but i am not sure whether to buy from owner like SBF here or from tiam leh......can anyone enlighten me about the difference about buying from owner or tiam.thx alots guys

i can tell u most ppl here would reccomend u buy direct frm owner.. only thing needs to take note when buyin frm owner is.. u need to do alot of research, if can bring some lao jiao along to view bike...

 

buyin 2nd hand stuffs depends alot on luck.. if lucky u get a great bargain, if suay u get a big headache... gd luck...

but i tink buy directly from ppl is a more safe way from getting chop first time.when view bike ask ur fren which is biker to tag along wif you which is mention by loufu.

i bought my bike from here as well... e only tedious issue is the self handling of nitty gritties, such as insurance and transfer ownership which involves a long long wait at lta sin ming..

Buy from ppl here at least the price is cheaper.. And owner itself usually take care of their bike.. Where else bike shop u never know what has been done to the bike b4..

hmmm thx for all the comment bros,but if is buy from owner then those insurance thingy is pay by one time or can by installement?cause i currently still studying so not much extra cash in hand.then let's say i am 19 this yr then insurance is it like 800+ less than 1000?

U can down $800 at shop.. The will settle the insurance all for u..

My point of view is if you have full cash i think you can buy from here (SBF). Cos most Bro in SBF require full cash or transfer of ownership OR re-loan from motordiam meaning that you are back to square 1 loan from motordiam. But if you dun have full cash like some Bro here requirement and wanna paid installment i rather you choose motordiam. Either you wanna buy motor from SBF or motordiam bring some lao jiao with you to check the motorbike you wanna buy.

i now got a friend was kinda worry about taking bike cause he kinda short of cash.so he is planning either to buy from tiam then installement or hire purchase from hitachi then buy one bike either from tiam or ower.so he would like to know what is the interest all those **** how to calculate de.

Actually it all depends on d amt of cash u have n wat type of bike u looking for. But still u can get a better deal as in lower price if u were to buy from one of d forumer here.

Wrong, U muz look for finance company, followed by bike then insurance.. but finance company not confirm will loan u, got requirement one, If they approve also will loan u a portion only, wont loan u full sum..

in my humble opi, better get from owner , unless 1st hand bike la. bcos , some times a owner had whack hard on a bike, going to spoil or even spoil til very bad already, sell back to bike shop, worst , the bike shop will use they minimum price to fix the bike, they may any how repair just for the bike to able to move around, and sell to the next owner. if you are the unlucky one, too bad. i have friends encounter this kind of matter b4:(

but there also small chances you bought a good bike from shop:)

for me, if getting first hand bike, of course have to get from shop.

 

but if considering to get a second hand, first choice will be from private sales. if cannot get the bike of my choice then i look from shop.

 

firstly, dun have to go thru bike shop (save $$$) secondly, can check and view till happy then buy.
