how to upgrade laptop mem ?

i need to upgrade mem in laptop, Presario577AU, starhub promotion item.

 

currently comes with 2 x 512mb DDR2 mem cards.

 

according to hp

it can upgrade to 2GB...

 

but the problem is all 2 slots are used up by 2 x 512 mem cards.

 

that means i have to buy 2 x 1 GB cards to upgrade..

 

or any shop u know that allows trade in for original 512 mem cards ?

not sure cos of the memory being occupied is getting lesser....

You anyhow humtum ar...

I think you're refering to your hard disk space getting occupied due to you MP3 and donno what movies I think.

 

1. I personally think it's the OS registry getting longer and longer due to install/uninstall application.

 

2. Clear your cache, .tmp files and do housekeeping.

 

I suggest you backup all your data files and re-install the OS and the laptop start/shutdown will be like new when you purchase it.

 

Make sure you have all the drivers handybefore installing the OS else, you'll have nightmare!!!

 

Sigh... gotta wait till Nov then can re-sign the SCV and get the free laptop.
