very much agree that the trip was wonderful in many ways:

 

1. fair weather throughout... was expecting to get wet but looks like the weather is really kind to us...

 

2. quiet nice beach as desaru... we almost had the whole beach to ourselves, the breeze was cooling and refreshing...

 

3. reasonably good traffic condition... usually going back time (from desaru to JB) will have moderate to heavy traffic.. yesterday was reasonably good in my opinion...

 

4. great 'tour guide' thanks to jus101 for putting his local knowledge and GPS to great use...

 

5. good riding spirit.. coming out from sg. rengit village, every alternate bike took turns to be marker without being told... :thumb: thats the kind of riding group i love to be with!

Yesterday evening, I saw this very long stretch of Pasar Malam in Bukit Indah. Very different from Spore's . One of the Vendor told me they only operates on Monday. GPS coordinates: N1.28232 E103.40336 Now I have this intention to recce all the Pasar malams in JB town after work when I go inside for petrol top ups. You can introduce any other pasar malams? Thanks.

mmm... I only know a few, here are the coordinates

 

Mon: N1 29.169 E103 45.784

Tue: N1 28.901 E103 46.436 & N1 32.561 E103 48.096

Thu: N1 37.630 E103 37.203

Fri: N1 39.497 E103 37.746

Sat: N1 29.930 E103 40.834

format "hddd mm.mmm"

 

BTW, ur Bkt Indah coordinates is incorrect, "N1.28232 E103.40336" is somewhere in ocean near Kukup island. It should be "N1 28.232 E103 40.336" or "N1.47053 E103.67227". Do beware of those space & decimal placing. :smile:

 

*be careful when u park ur bike there..

Btw, this Saturday I planning a afternoon trip to the Pulai waterfall & Pulai reservoir. You wanna come?

i guess it is a matter of time most will start to get a GPS...

 

then can really consider to go all the way to all the possible places like golden triangle, laos, vietnam, cambodia, china! :smile:

 

rough guage now it to start before i turn 35... :cheer:

agree with u. especially when u travel solo to a new land, GPSr really comes in handy when u are lost. even if without detail maps (eg. Laos & Cambodia) bare minimum u know u present location, heading, distant left, etc....

We can start a MO for the GPS if 5 people are really interested. Not much discount will be given tho. :smile:
