That's problem of sale talk and the installment plans? The longest I saw few years ago was 5 years, now we got 7 years....What next? 10 years..

There are still lots of room to increase. I guess when people used to the price and when times are good, people just buy and buy.

Just like few years ago, where HDB were in demand, was not uncommon to heard 20-60k COV, and people that time, SG land limited, sure price increase. Nowadays we nv hear about COV anymore, sometimes polices changes and change the landscape as well.

Like I said don't over commit. When times are bad, don't expect others to take over your commitment.

yeah agree... its a personal choice on whether to take up such a long loan or not. Many say "no choice", but its still a choice to choose "no choice". I dont think bad economy will affect bike COE that much since quantum is not that high compared to car and as u said, long term finance is available. My guess is at best, it wud go to around 3-4k level if/when times are bad.

Liverpool revival has started....

Indeed you have my sympathy as a real coward. We know why ur reputation & nick stinks here. No constructive comments and only know digging problems (s h I t) but when challenged, not only cant give out even the most tiny bit of proper info.

Economy these few yrs hv not been gd anyway. COE should not be 3 to 4k, should be 12k, as what some of us felt it should be.

Need over 300 of us to bring it up to 12k...

Do it on ur own merits. Bid super super high so that u achieve what u wished for, 12k coe. U can afford it, dun ride that phantom of urs anymore. Doesnt suit ur status. Hoping for lower coe is just not u at all.

Dealers earn commission from high loan and high interests.

Gov earn from the high COE.

Riders like me waiting to renew can only hope when time come suck thumb and pay.

Riders wanted new bike no choice but to commit.

Haiz... We are at the losing end.

actually you can bid you COE

but the problem is, does bike shop let you buy their bike on machine price only? (you can register the bike, buy insurance yourself. all you need is the coe to make it road legal)

if Im not mistaken car dealers refuse to sell their cars without COE

Most AD do not, but some PI actually does quote price without COE. I tried bidding before $1 did not get it. LOL

The system make it no point for individuals to bid down, only up as it is controller by ADs.

Your dad bought you your first bike? ;)

I had to buy my own. Perhaps he would have given me one from his collection if I had gotten my licence sooner but then again I never needed my own transport then. But its different now.

Yes at that time there is no COE but I scrap off after 10 years of riding, at that time Yamaha RXK is around the same price:slurp:

Times are good when people are still buying...All ready for 2016 and CNY.

As I mentioned earlier, AWS/VB plus your Dec pay, I guess ones have just more money this coming months...

But bidding had come down which is a good thing, we might see it plunges after CNY??

I am really hopeful as I left with one year to renew my supersport.

Funny with all the good news coming in, people still willing to pay this high. Recession would never hit Singapore.
