What some people do with the HDB unit is they rent it out, stay with parents or rent in JB or buy property in JB, lots of rich foreigners renting out in SG.

 

Car, only rich people or feel rich people buy brand new, it makes more financial sense to buy used. Last time families of 6 got along fine without one. A matter of affordability and necessity, in bigger countries maybe, in a small one like ours better to just cab.

 

If you wanna complain about convenience, be prepared to pay for it. Thats how it is in SG, i don't know why people keep voting white and complain about costs.

last time YES, but now with the 50% loan curbs, there are many who can't afford to cough up 50% cash to buy NEW so no choice have to shop for used cars, thus used car dealers have all jacked up their selling price till now most used cars' depreciation is HIGHER than new car depreciation.

 

ie. more worthwhile to buy new, IF cash-rich-enough...

My time bus is only 5 cents, off course that time no air con! When the bus moving on the road is all the black smoke but now when you ride beside the bus you can feel is the hot heat!

 

Talk about recent 4 to 5 years and now, 1 bottle (1 Liter) of soft drink around 90cent to $1.00 now is $1.7 to $1.90 only on festive season then is around $1.20 to $1.30!

If the govt isn't changing anytime soon, I'm hoping for COE to stagnate till the end of this year. It dropping to 1k would be a godsend but if there are still people like that duck faced moron still in charge, I wouldn't bet on it.

People will always buy cars, no matter how much the coe is. Same for bikes, and even HDBs. I just got a new 2B bike for 15k, gonna get a new 2A and new 2. Problem?

When it comes to COE issues now, I tends to taking a view from others. Sure, if I only view from my own pov, I can afford this increase in premium, so end of story and move on with life. But now the problem is: what about the others?

 

Based on the grumbling that has been going on since the beginning of the unnatural rise of premium cost last year, ppl are not happy with the policies. If the sector in charge isn't able to justify this increment to us motorcyclists, then something is wrong.

Same like facing the same issue where some ppl will make thing easily by improving and upgrading and some will just sit down , relax and just keep complain. Thinking that the condition will change for them.

If look at the whole big picture. The whole system is there for a reason.

System cannot cater for all so it will just cater for the majorities.
